After rewatching some part of the s6 finale, I had some thoughts about the attempt to absorb the sun.
I mean, besides the whole thing being completely ridiculous and pointless, not to mention had no impact on the plot, it's also very out of character and an insulting thing to make Kara do.
Again, ignoring the obvious reason for why it was stupid, an important part of Kara's Kryptonians identity is her religion and her god Rao. Rao was not just a god, Rao was the literal sun of their solar system, praise for his light, energy, and warmth. She was sent away to the Sol system, and while she never mentioned any religious affinity to Sol, it was still this planet's sun. Not her god, but I would assume she would have had some deep respect to it since it carried similar responsibilities to Rao, not to mention was the reason she had her powers to begin with.
What I'm saying is that, in a way, for Kara, this act was not only a mistake, but it was flat out blasphemy.

You will get a new Wonder Woman run planned to be a long and structured one - but it's written by Tom King
You will get a new Black Canary run - the thing is, it will be written by Tom King
You will get a series of some silver age partially forgotten characters you like - Adam Strange, Omega Men, Metamorpho - but here's the catch: they'll all be written by Tom King
Why all these times I got something I wanted from DC it was like meeting this wise and cruel Jinn trying to warn me about the potential harm of my heart's desires?
"Be careful what you wish for, little one. Now take this Tom King book" the creature whispers while I sob

Lena was waking up, and not in her own bed. She was somewhere warm, swaddled in a heavy blanket. Her head was pounding and she didn’t want to open her eyes. A soft mewling sound tumbled from her lips, and she made as if to blink. Her eyes felt gummy and stuck shut.
“Shhhh,” a small, soft voice murmured. “I’ve got you. You’re okay.”
“Wuh?”
“Just rest,” Kara said.
It was easy to rest. He head fell against the wall of muscle that was Kara’s chest and pillowed on her breast and Lena let out a soft sigh, shifting a bit as she came around and grew more wakeful. She was sitting in Kara’s lap as Kara leaned back against a wall, and Kara had unclasped her cape and wrapped it around her in an impenetrable blanket.
As Lena opened her eyes, she saw that Kara was carding her fingers through Lena’s hair, so gently she barely felt it.
“Your hair is really pretty.”
“Thanks,” said Lena.
A kind of confusion swept through her. Weren’t they fighting? Lena was mad. She was furious. She was world-endingly, life-burn-downingly mad at the woman in whose lap she currently sat. Kara had lied to her about the fundamental nature of who she was and… and…
Lena didn’t feel mad.
“They gave you some pretty heavy drugs when they kidnapped you.”
“Kidnapped me?”
Kara let out a little snort. “You probably don’t remember. These were the lamest kidnappers, Lena. They nabbed you and immediately called me out. I found you and bagged them before you even came around from the drugs.”
“Thanks.”
“You probably won’t remember any of this later,” Kara sighed. “I just want to tell you I’m sorry again. I’m sorry I lied. It was wrong and you deserved better. I should have given you my trust the way you gave it to me.”
Lena blinked a few times but said nothing.
“I’ll never stop saving you. I will always protect you. Even if you never forgive me.”
Lena shifted slightly, pressing a little into Kara, who was now lightly teasing the tips of her fingers across Lena’s scalp, sending light tingles through her sleepy body. Kara yawned and shrugged.
“You okay? You warm enough?”
Lena nodded.
“Alex is coming with a team, she’ll make sure you’re all right. Go back to sleep, baby.”
Baby. That word sent a shockwave through her.
Lena’s eyes drifted shut. She was very tired and it made sense to sleep, to just let it all go. She was safe in Kara’s arms.
As she tumbled towards the dark, she felt the soft press of warm lips to her forehead.
“There’s still so much I want to tell you.”
Lena sighed and nuzzled into Kara’s shoulder. She was soft and warm and smelled heavenly, not just her lavender perfume but the soft smell of her. Lena never told Kara that she wanted to smell her armpits after spin class.
“You want to smell my armpits?!” Kara choked out.
Oh. That was supposed to be inside voice.
“Mmmhmm,” said Lena.
“Can I tell you something, since you probably won’t remember this later?”
“Sure.”
“I’m in love with you.”
Lena started, jolting a little more awake.
“No, shhh,” Kara said, pulling her into a tighter hug. “I know it doesn’t change anything. You don’t owe me anything. I’m just scared. I need you to know of something happens, if…” her breath caught. “If not fast enough.”
“Kara,” said Lena.
“Shh,” Kara murmured, touching a soft kiss to her forehead again that sent a jolt rippling through her.
“I don’t even know if you like girls. It’s just that was the real reason why I was so shitty and hid who I was. I was scared you’d leave if I told you and… and it happened anyway. I’m so sorry.”
Kara sighed.
“Sometimes I wish I could be human so there’d be no secret. I don’t know of Human Kara would have been brave enough to say anything to you but I’m a coward. It would be so easy if there was no lie.”
Lena opened her eyes and looked up. Hot tears glittered on Kara’s cheeks.
“And you know, if you lived with me, and not in that big fancy penthouse, nobody would kidnap you. I’d keep you safe and get you breakfast and make sure you eat before work and take care of you because you don’t take care of yourself.”
“Mmhm, and what do you get out of this arrangement?”
“Well,” said Kara, “I’d get to kiss the prettiest girl in the world.”
“Is that all?”
Kara’s throat bobbed as she swallowed. “Well. I could do more than kiss. I never have with another woman so I’m not sure how… but I want to…”
She brushed bright scarlet.
“I could teach you,” Lena whispered.
“Don’t do that,” said Kara. “Don’t dangle that in front of me, if there’s no chance.”
“Kara,” Lena murmured, her drugged brain grinding its gears a little, “you don’t fill someone’s office with flowers as a friendly gesture. One does not buy an entire billion dollar media empire to hang out with one person as a platonic exercise.”
“Oh,” said Kara.
“I thought you were straight,” said Lena. “It boggles my mind that you thought I was. Me? Really? Have you seen me?”
“Yes,” Kara was looking at her intently now. “I have seen you since the first day. When I saw you for the first time I felt something I’ve never felt before or since.”
“This fight we’re having,” said Lena. “It doesn’t really feel important right now.”
“I know, but you’re on drugs.”
“Will you kiss me?”
“No.”
Kara’s lips were trembling. She dipped slightly as if she’d changed her mind, then pulled back and pursed her lips, pressing her eyes tightly closed.
“You might not feel this way later. It would be wrong.”
Alex chose that exact moment to kick the door in, sending a shower of splinters across the room. Kara pivoted in anticipation, shielding Lena but twisting around so they were even closer, Kara’s stunning blue eyes filling Lena’s vision.
“If you still feel this way later, call me.”
From then it became a blur. Kara placed Lena gently on a stretcher and reclaimed her cap, then trudged a safe distance away and flew off.
Alex was curt and short with her as usual, fussing over unnecessary risks and complaining sharply that Lena got into too much trouble, before sharply cutting off the conversation when it got too friendly and storming off.
Lena ended up back in her penthouse by six, all in all a fairly convenient kidnapping and rescue. She trundled inside and sat down on the couch, staring straight ahead for a while before she went to pour a glass of scotch, then thought better of it.
The night was chilly. National City never really got cold, but on a January night it could be brisk. Lena leaned on her railing and stared out at the bright lights of the city, the flow of traffic beneath and the distant sounds of life and joy.
Suddenly she felt very cold.
“Kara,” she sighed.
In an instant she was there, appearing in a faint gust. Her cape billowed out majestically behind her, hair aloft on the wind currents like clouds of spun gold. Kara didn’t look like an angel; angels looked like Kara.
“Come inside.”
Lena turned and walked back into the warmer confines, hearing the gentle thud of Kara’s boots on the balcony and her soft footsteps walking over.
“Haven’t been here in a while.”
“I used to dream of you moving in with me,” Lena admitted.
Kara stood silently behind her, shifting on her feet.
“I used to think about pampering you every time you mentioned that your rent was high or joked about a reporter’s salary. I wanted to take care of you, treat you, give you fine things.”
“You don’t have to give me anything.”
Lena turned around and crossed the distance between them. With Lena barefoot and Kara in heels, she towered over her. Lena stepped aggressively into her space and Kara didn’t flinch as Lena curled her fingers in the collar of her suit and pulled her down.
She didn’t hesitate. She gently bracketed Lena’s hips in her hands and pulled her in, bending over her to bring their lips together, Kara’s every move soft and gentle, the utmost care in every tiny gesture.
Kara was a good kisser. Lena let it deepen, feeling the heat flush in her chest and elsewhere, as Kara swept her cape around the both of them in a grand, silly, absurdly romantic gesture that made Lena’s knees go all wobbly and her belly flare with warmth.
“I could give you another chance,” Lena whispered into Kara’s lips.
“I’d like that.”
“Want to fly me home?”
“You are home,” said Kara, sounding a little confused.
Lena looked around the apartment, then rested her head on Kara’s chest. “No, I’m not.”
“Oh,” said Lena.
“Take me back to your loft. We can kiss and do the other things and then you can go get me breakfast.”
Kara slid her arm under Lena’s legs and back and picked her up, tucking Lena gently against her chest, stepped up onto the balcony railing and then off, into space. Lena’s breath caught and she tensed as she always did. She really didn’t like heights.
“I won’t drop you.”
Flying back through Kara’s window was a little awkward with the two of them, but they managed. Inside, Kara deposited her on the couch and the fussing began.
First, she made Lena put on a hoodie at the first sign of a shiver. It was old and threadbare and smelled like Kara, and when she wasn’t looking Lena buried her face in the sleeve and breathed it in.
Kara placed an order at a local restaurant and rather than wait for delivery, zipped out and got it herself.
“Do the people at the potsticker place not freak out when Supergirl pops in?”
“Actually, they give me a discount.”
She put the food in front of Lena and disappeared briefly, emerging in a tank top and running shorts, and Lena almost dropped the potsticker she was about to bite into.
Kara sat down beside her, and Lena stared at her. She wasn’t wearing her glasses and her hair was in a loose ponytail, leaving her in a kind of halfway state between Kara and Supergirl. Despite the display of her blocky shoulders and the ribbed fabric tight on her bunching abs, she looked so warm and soft.
Kara speared the potsticker and popped it into her own mouth.
“Hey!” Lena chirped.
“You were just staring at it.”
“Kara!”
“Fine, here.”
Kara gently took another dumpling in her chopsticks and offered it. Lena looked at her askance, then leaned forward and took it in her mouth, eyes never leaving Kara.
Slowly, they shifted together until they were side by side on the sofa, Lena sort of falling onto Kara as she sank into the cushions. They were less eating and more feeding each other, which turned into Lena feeding Kara as they watched whatever came on the TV.
Kara slowly worked an arm around Lena’s waist and Lena turned, throwing her legs across Kara’s thighs.
“I’m tired,” said Lena.
“You’ve had a long day.”
“Want to go to bed?” Lena said. She tried to put her best husk into her voice but it cracked a little and betrayed her.
Kara said nothing. She smiled and lifted Lena up with ease and carried her to the bed.
Lena shimmied out of her leggings, letting them fall around her ankles, all while covered by the oversized hoodie, and her heart was pounding as Kara lifted the covers with an exaggerated gesture and beckoned her into the bed. Lena climbed aboard.
Kara crawled in after her and embraced her like she was trying to pull Lena inside her body.
“You must be tired,” Kara murmured. “It’s okay if you just want to sleep.”
“I am,” Lena whispered back.
Kara started to pull back, but Lena held on. “Can you hold me for a while.”
“Nothing is gonna get you.”
Lena closed her eyes and curled up against her, sighing.
Two weeks later, she put the penthouse on the market.

Hazbin + Detroit Become Human AU??
oh boy youtube out of blue recommended me detroit videos and my brain immediately went WHAT IF CROSSOVER??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, Alastor was (one of) the first android to develop a deviation. He lived with a married couple, although their marrige wasn't happy. The woman treated him well and he loved her as a mother, while her husband was most of the time drunk or on drugs, and physically abuses her. Alastor didn't see that much. The last time went horrybly, the man killed his wife, and Alastor couldn't bare with it, deviated nd killed the man in revenge. Then he burned the house down with both bodies inside and ran away. Police couldn't find any clues and the case was forgotten. Alastor started a life as a human, became a radio host, but couldn't stop thinking of how easily he got away with the murder. And he desided to kill more people, because he was bored. He carefully plans his murders, sometimes he messes with the police giving them wrong clues and wrapping everything onto itself, or leading to someone else. When deviations become more frequent, he started staging murders by androids, it was more risky but also more fun for him. He loves talking about his own murders on the radio.
He consideres himself better than both humans and androids, even those who has deviation as well. He doesn't care about freedom for all androids, and even owns few himself - Husk (and probably Niffty) (mostly to make it less suspicious that he has biocomponents and android blood at home). He also likes to vist android dump and look for working components (he sells what he can't use for himself).
HE WILL NEVER BE CAUGHT, BECAUSE I SAID SO!
Tumblr media
Lute and Adam as Connor and Hank. Honestly, i'd love to look at their shenanigans, that would be really fucking funny
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chaelie and Vaggie as Alice and Kara. Lucifer as Todd?... They're still very much gay. Also i'm not sure if Vaggie is still... you know, Vaggie. Lmao. What other name would she have, Maggie?
Aaaand idk who's playing Marcus role. Not Alastor, he's a secret 4th option lmao. Valentino owns sex club (obviously...), Angel (android) belongs there. Lilith is the creator of androids. And Sera could be the president lmao
ROSIE WAIT HOLY SHIT WHO'S ROSIE well she can be just Alastor's friend who knows about his nature and doesn't care about it 🥺💖 She's also still a cannibal. And Alastor doesn't care, they totally deserve each other KLJJKDFLHKFJDJGLK
Not what i was going to post today at all.. well, let's see how well it makes

Not My Sister's Keeper Pt. 12
Not My Sister’s Keeper
Jey Uso X OC (Kayla)
Sefa
Roman X (Jade)
Jimmy X Trin
Rhea Ripley
Rating: 18+
Warning: Smut; sex, fluff, couple arguing, Jealousy, infidelity, pregnancy
Roamn’s wife recently left medical school and returned home to save her marriage. Upon her return, she finds out things are not what they seem. Her sister is pregnant by her best friend Jey Uso, who is also Roman’s cousin, and her husband is acting suspiciously.
What happens when a conversation overhead on a baby monitor blows her world apart?
Tumblr media
Philadelphia, PA
Smackdown
Jey’s POV
“That wasn’t what I told them I wanted.”
“I can just sit by your dad and it’s on the hard camera side. I won’t have to worry about being seen. Jey, it’s really not a big deal.” Kara said putting the finishing touches on her make up.
“Kara, I don’t care what they said, after you and Trin walk pops to his seat, come sit with me. I’m not going to sit there for two or three hours away from my wife.”
“They don’t know we’re married Jey, if they did, I’m sure they would’ve seated us together.”
“They don’t know cause’ it ain’t nobody’s business until we ready to tell them that we are married. Hell, even if we were just boyfriend and girlfriend, you still would have been sitting wit me. You ain’t no secret, I don’t give a fuck what nobody thinks about us.”
I knew she agreed with my thought process, it wasn’t that we were ashamed it’s just that so much of our lives had been on display for the world to see and we wanted this to be ours and ours alone until we were ready to tell everyone.
“Us against the world,” Kara whispered as I put my ring finger next to hers, our matching ring finger tattoos on full display. “Damn right, us against the world.”
We had gotten the first letter of each other’s name tattooed on our ring finger, into a ring design it was really unique, and we loved it.  I can’t help in thinking back to the night I finally proposed.
Four months earlier
“I am willing to move to Atlanta Kara, I know it was one of your choices.”
“Josh-”
“Damn, we serious now you are using my real name.”
“Yes, because you’re not listening. Josh, I want to move back to Pensacola to do my residency.”
This has been a conversation that we’ve had for the last month especially since Tia is working to get transferred back to Pensacola to serve her sentence.
“Bae, I love that you want to come home but what about Tia being here. I can sell the house, or we keep it as a vacation house. My mom would understand and I’m sure Bill would.”
“Josh, this is home and has always been home. I don’t want to start anywhere else new. I want to live in this house as your wife and raise our kids here. I don’t give one nor two fucks that Tia is here.” Kara said as I smiled. Damn, she never put it to me like that before.
“You know I can’t wait to marry you and have some lil Uces running around here. I just didn’t want you to feel like you had to stay here for me, you’ve already done enough of that in your life.”
“I have never thought that, knowing I’m coming here is like what helps me get through those tough days when I’m alone in Boston.”
“Kara, can I be honest wit you?” I asked ready to take a chance.
“You know I always want you to be honest. You don’t have to sugar coat nothing, and you know you can ask me anything. You know we locked in; I love you.” That was it, the invitation I knew I always had but it felt good to hear her say it.
“Kara, what would you say if I told you I couldn’t wait another day to make you, my wife.”
“I’d say why haven’t you asked me yet?” Kara asked without hesitation as I caressed her face. She better stop playin’ cause’ we can apply for this license in the morning, get it rushed and be married by tomorrow night.
“Kara I’m serious…. Baby, I wanna marry you, but you deserve so much like the proposal of your dreams, the big wed-”.
“Josh, I don’t need this big elaborate proposal and big wedding. I’ve done all that and it was more for others than for me. As long as it’s me, you, my dad and your mom there, that’s all I need.”
“And you’re ready? Like you ready to take that step with me?”
“Like I said, you won’t know till you ask.”
“Oh, you ain’t gotta keep tellin’ me.” Quickly reaching in my pocket I pulled out and opened the small heart shaped jewelry box. “Wait you really got a ring!” Kara exclaimed as I smiled kneeling down on one knee.
“Yes, and it’s been burning a hole in my pocket and luggage for almost eight months,” I said truthfully as Kara covered her mouth in shock.
I knew she didn’t like big and extravagant; she was more of a tear cut diamond girl, so Tiffany’s was nice enough to work with me on a design for her.
“Kara, I’ve loved you since I was five years old, and I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone but you. We’ve been through a lot, but it brought us here and I don’t want to waste another minute.
“Are you sure?” Kara asked with tears in her eyes as I kissed her hand and placed the ring on her finger. “Kara, you ain’t never gotta question my love for you. I love you so much and I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone but you, lau pele.”
“I love you too and I—I want to spend the rest of my life with you too.”
“Then how bout it, Ms. Kara Morris, will you give me the honor of becoming Mrs. Fatu and spending a couple of forevers wit me?”
“Yes, I would love to spend a couple of forevers being Mrs. Fatu.”
---
The rest as they say is history, we a license the next morning, pops knew the clerk, so he called in a favor, and we were able to get it that same day. Then later that evening we got married, with my parents and Bill as witnesses.
“I’m going to meet Trin, and pops,” Kara said giving me a kiss. “A’ight, I’m heading back to Gorilla, and I’ll see you in a minute.” I told her before we parted ways, I don’t know why they do the Hall of Fame after smackdown.
The talent is tired and so is the crowd. I just worked the main evet and had to rush back here to get dressed for the HOF. I’m not complaining by any means, I love this, but they need a better planning system. This was so unorganized.
“Jey we been waiting, you’re up next.”
“Sorry, I had to make sure everything was straight on the home front before I came back.” I said falling in line behind Big E waiting my turn to go back out.
---
Kara’s POV
I felt nervous, but I can say I felt comfortable in my dress, and I wasn’t struggling to walk in my heels like some of the wives and girlfriends were, so I was ahead of the game.
“Pops, you look good,” I told him as Trin, and I each took an arm.
“So do ya’ll my beautiful daughter-in laws. Ya’ll about to have all the attention on me. Did ya’ll plan the matching hair?” he asked as we laughed.
“Nope, that was an accident, but we look cute, and you heard pops, sis. Even he knows you’re going to be his daughter-in law,” she said reaching over to fix my hair.
“Yes, I heard him.”
I smiled looking at Jey wave to the crowd as he walked down the aisle.  My husband is so sexy in all black, hell in anything he’s sexy.
“Kara, you hear me?”
“No, I was looking at my man if we are being honest.” I said, Pops belly laugh making me smile.
“See, you so in love with that man, I’mma need Ya’ll to stop playin’.” Trin said as Pops winked at me. He was getting a kick out of Trin having no clue Jey and I were already married.
“It’s our turn,” Trin whispered as they ushered us forward. I felt nervous, never had I ever went out in front of a crowd to be dissected. I had sat in plenty crowds, and backstage but this was new. I was more out in the open and felt exposed.
We couldn’t get pops to his seat fast enough, so many people were stopping us to talk to him. Picking up on my nervousness, he winked at me.
“We ain’t stopping again, they can come see me at my seat if they wanna talk,” he whispered as I nodded thankfully.
Before he sat down, he gave us a hug. “Thank ya’ll for makin’ an old man happy.”
“It’s no problem pops, I can sit with you if you want?”
“No, ya’ll go be with the twins, I’m good, ya’ll have fun.”  Quickly we went made our way to the other side of the ring. Jey stood up to give Trin a hug and to let her pass.
“I been waiting on you wifey,” he said making me smile, taking my hand in his as we sat down to enjoy the hall of fame.
Roman’s POV
I love Paul and I know what I said I would induct him, but I could have fell on my face seeing Jey and Kara sitting front row as I climbed in the ring.
I just walked past my ex-wife and cousin and had to play it cool but on the inside, I was breaking down. I guess they were finally coming out officially, but it wasn’t my business.
After introducing Paul, I couldn’t get backstage fast enough to go back to my bus. It was going to be a long weekend, sitting on my bus I went on twitter checking to see if anyone was talking about Jey and Kara.
As I expected some fans were already being messy, tagging me in an article from WrestleWorld, asking how I felt about the situation. I knew I should ignore it, but I couldn’t.

Karma’s -A- Kara
By. Scott Jenson
Jey Uso has the wrestling world talking tonight he showed up at the WWE Hall of Fame with Kara Morris(pictured above). Kara is the ex-wife of Jey’s cousin, Roman Reigns. Kara and Trin were seen walking WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi to his seat before going to sit with their respective partners. Jey was seen also kissing Kara during Paul Heyman’s tribute video. It has been rumors swirling about the couple for years but it was never confirmed until now.
“How the fuck do they find out all this shit?" I hissed, angry at the fact people were picking apart my life and Kara’s.
Kara doesn’t have social media but has popped up on Jey’s Instagram stories and posts throughout the years. In knowing what transpired between Kara and Roman, we wish her well. Kara is about to actually graduate from medical school next month. Congratulations Kara, and Jey, enjoy the Hall of Fame ceremony.
“Then these damn tweets ain’t no better. Like how?!” Each tweet pissing me off more as I read them.
@Romanreignslover03 So, Jey Uso walked into the WWE Hall of Fame with his cousin’s ex-wife. That is some messy shit, Jey, you cold blooded kissing on that woman. #Jey&KaraHOF
@Roman0123 WrestleWorld stop spreading false news, Trin and Kara escorted Rikishi to his seat. Jey and Kara have been friends since they were kids. They are family regardless even if she divorced Roman, end of story. #Jey&KaraHOF
@Glowlove6 So what if they were kissing, ya’ll don’t know the half of what Kara went through with Roman. Do your research and good for you Kara, you deserve happiness. Plus, Jey loved her first, if anything Roman stole her from Jey.  #Jey&KaraHOF
@Usoluvsme That’s still messy sleepin’ with his cousin, damn she lookin for a come up since Jey popular now, straight up golddigger. Jey, better watch out. #Jey&KaraHOF
@Trinityglowsfans01 You do know Roman fucked her sister, had a kid with her while they were married, said sister then tried to kill Kara and Roman, right. Plus, Kara is graduating medical school soon. She doesn’t need Jey’s money, and her folks got money too.
“Like how they know all this shit!” I wasn’t mad at Kara or even Jey, I’m mad at myself for fucking up. I allowed this to happen, but I also knew it wasn’t gonna be a secret forever that Jey was with Kara.
I hoped I got a chance to run into her to congratulate her on her upcoming graduation. She deserved all great things, and my investment in her paid off.
“Just get through this weekend and then you get a break,” I muttered putting down my phone to go grab a shower before bed.

Jey’s Dressing Room
Kara’s POV
“I want you to check baby. You been waiting on this,” Jey said as I sighed.
“It’s been a good week; I don’t want to bring down the mood. I’ll just check when I get home Tuesday.”
“Girl, if you don’t get on this computer and look at those results, I know something.” Trin scolded as Jey smiled.
“I don’t know why she trippin’ she studied her ass I off, I know she passed both of the tests.”
“Come on girl, check it,” Jimmy said rubbing my shoulder.
“Ok, I’ll just take a little peak,” I whispered logging in to check my results. I was hesitant to even click on the link.
“Come on.”
“Ya’ll just had your matches, literally still in your gear. We should be celebrating ya’ll not me.”
“Girl, I’m bout to do it for you, if you keep on,” Trin said making me laugh as she pulled out her phone and began recording.
“Really Trin.”
“Yes, now stop stalling.”
Jey nudged his head towards the computer letting me know it was no other option but to open my test results. Sighing, I clicked on the link and nervously began to read.
“Dear Ms. Morris, thank you for taking part two and three of the USMLE,” I mumbled as Jey and Trin peered over my shoulder trying to read as well.
“All this shit to read, I just need my scores.”
“Calm down baby, just read it.”
“Hell, I’m looking and don’t understand all of them medical words.” Trin said frowning at the computer screen.
Continuing to scroll down, I finally saw what we were all waiting for.
“I passed!” I screamed in shock, covering my face allowing my tears to fall.
“Yes! I knew it!” Jey shouted, hugging me as I sobbed.
“Yes, ma’am we in there, let’s go!” Trin cheered as I nodded truly overwhelmed that I always almost there. I couldn’t think of any better people to share this moment with than them.
“Aye, I’m proud of you,” Jimmy whispered giving me a hug.
“Thank you, brother.”
This has been the most amazing week, but I knew I had to finish out strong. Now I knew for a fact graduation was less than a month away officially.
Tumblr media
Roman’s POV
I had to find Kara, I tried to play it off, but I saw Jey’s comment and I had to know was it true or was I reading too much into it.
I should have tried to find her earlier, but I had to meet with Cody, Dwayne and Seth to go over some last-minute changes. The main even went great and the crowd ate it up.
Heading through Gorilla, I was shocked Jimmy, Jey, Kara, and Trin were there waiting for me.
“Congrats Uce, ya’ll Killed it,” Jimmy said actually giving me a hug.
“Yea, ya’ll got them anxious for tomorrow and what’s going to happen next.”
“Speaking of that, I need to meet with ya’ll,” Paul said coming over as we all looked confused.
“Austin backed out, so we are running down something new. I’m adding in Jimmy, Jey and a few other surprises.”
“Oh, snap we in,” Jey said excited as Jimmy nodded in agreement.
“Meeting in thirty minutes in my office.”
“Roman, could I talk to you for a second?” Kara asked as I wiped the sweat off my face.
“Yea, sure I actually was gonna try to find you after my match.”
“We’ll leave ya’ll to it, I’ll meet you in the dressing room after the meeting,” Jey said without jealousy, giving her a kiss on the cheek before walking off with Jimmy and Trin.
We ended up going back to my locker room but stood outside the door. I didn’t want to push my luck, if I’m honest. Thankfully, the hall was empty, everyone was slowly filing out to get some rest and prepare to do this all over again tomorrow.
“Roman, I passed the second part of my USMLE so it’s official I graduate soon,” Kara said excitedly as gave her a short hug. “I’m very proud of you, I knew you could do it.”
“No matter how things ended, I couldn’t have done this without you and I’m thankful for all you’ve done to help me finish.”
“You don’t owe me anything except be a great doctor.” I didn’t want to make it awkward, but I had to know. “Thanks, Roman.”
“Uh, Kara I don’t mean to be nosey, but I saw Jey comment on Trin’s post. I-- Damn, I don’t even know how to ask because I know it ain’t my business.”
“Jey and I are married Roman.” I felt the air rush out of my lungs, he had married her. Looking at her ring finger I saw a tattoo. “So, ya’ll hidin’ it and you marking up your body with his initial’s n shit? What’s next his whole name on you somewhere?” I asked, my tone coming out more harshly than I intended grasping her hand and looking at the tattoo ring on her finger.
“No, we just don’t feel it’s nobody’s business until we are ready to share it.” We don’t owe the world, or you shit.” Kara said, snatching her hand away.
“Look I understand getting a tattoo to cover up the bullet hole, but putting someone’s name or initials on y-”
“Roman I’m trying to be nice, and we’ve been getting along. If you want to keep it that way, stop while your ahead.”
The warning was stern, and I knew I needed to calm down quick, fast, and in a hurry.  We were finally talking without it being awkward or forced. I didn’t want to lose her being apart of my life in any shape or form.
“Look, it just threw me for a loop when I saw his comment under Trin’s post. I’m really happy for you Kara, you deserve the world.”
“Roman, I don’t want the world; I never did. I just wanted to be happy and I finally am.” Her words cutting me to my soul, but if she was happy, then so was I.
I had did enough and cause enough damage to us both. Damage I thought would burden her for the rest of her life but I’m grateful it didn’t.
“If your happy, then that’s all that matters beautiful. I won’t tell anyone what you told me, it’s your business. Thank you for telling me.” I really was thankful because I heard it from her and not on the internet or from someone else.
“Even after everything, I would never blindside you Roman.  Now I know you gotta get ready for your meeting, so I’mma go. I just wanted to let you know about graduation and to tell you thank you.”
“You ain’t never got to thank me, after everything, I knew what I had to do and what you deserved.”
“Roman-”
“No, let me finish…..Kara you put so much into my career, you held me down when I was broke. You took care of me when I was sick, you put your dreams on hold to be with me.”
“I wanted to do that Roman, there are no debts between me and you. Even after everything that happened.”
“I know it ain’t no debts, I gave you all that money because none of this would have even been possible without you. Kara, there is no Big Dog, or Tribal Chief without you.  And I knew as long as I had breath in my body you weren’t gon’ struggle or want for anything ever again.”
“Thank you,” Kara whispered surprising me when she wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me. I swear felt the weight of the world falling away as I hugged her back.
I had finally let it go…I would always love her, but I had let go and accepted my fate.
“I will always love you Kara, and I’m happy for you. I’ll always be here for you, and I just wanted you to know that.”  Wiping her tears, Kara gave me a small smile before she walked back towards the end of the hall.
Suddenly she stopped, turned and smiled at me once again. “No debts Roman, take care of Logan and be happy.” She said as I smiled back at her.
“No debts, Kara and I will.” With a nod Kara disappeared around the corner. I instantly felt my eyes watering as I turned the doorknob to go in my dressing room.
As soon as I closed and locked the door, I couldn’t hold it in anymore, silently weeping. I knew she would never forget everything that happened, but she forgave me…She showed me grace in my time of weakness, and it was time for me to forgive myself.
Yea, things weren’t how I wanted it or dreamed it to be, but life was going on and for the first time I was ok with my fate.
I had lost her, but I gained my Logan in the process.  I knew now my fate was to be the best father to her and everything else will fall in place…I knew it would.
New beginnings were on the horizon.
Jey’s POV
Roman was the last to arrive at the meeting and he looked to be somewhat in a daze but came around as we all talked about what was going to happen in the main even tomorrow.
I was amped myself; I was going to play a part in the main event. I felt like a kid listening to all the people who were going to get involved. Tomorrow night couldn’t come fast enough for me.
“So, Taker will be the last one out?” I asked making sure I had it right, poor Cody seemed to still be in shock realizing he was going over tomorrow.
“Yea, Taker is going to have an interaction with Rock, then Seth will get up and Roman will choose to hit Seth with the chair instead of Cody, costing him the match.”
“Oh, good call back to Seth being Cody’s shield,” Jimmy said as Roman smiled.
“I like it, the fans gone eat it up bad,” he chuckled as Paul seemed pleased with what we had come up with writing more notes down.
“Alright we’ll meet again tomorrow but for now ya’ll all rocked it tonight so go celebrate.” Dwayne said rubbing his shoulder.
“What’s the matter over there, Cuz?” Jimmy asked chuckling as I shook my head. He is so damn messy.
“Hell, you know Jim, I’m too old for this shit. I’m already sore as hell and we gotta do this again tomorrow,” he said as we all laughed.
After Paul adjourned the meeting and everyone began to leave, I noticed Roman still sitting.
“You alright, Uce?” I asked as he nodded finally standing up and walking towards me.
“Yea, I’ll be good by tomorrow, nice ring tat by the way,” he said with a small smile as I shut the door, to give us some privacy.
“Roman, I ain’t trying to argue…I know-”
“I ain’t arguing, Jey. I put it together after I saw your comment under Trin’s post, and I asked Kara.”
“I know you didn’t go in on her, did you? Because if you did-”
“I’m happy for ya’ll Jey.” Roman said barley above a whisper as I looked at him in shock.
“Huh…..”
“Kara told me that you made her happy, and as much as it hurt to hear it, that’s all I ever wanted for her.”
“That’s all I ever wanted too; and I love her.”
“Then take care of her,” Roman said extending his hand to me as I looked at him searching for any sign of dishonesty but found none.
As we shook hands, it felt different. It felt like we were finally starting to mend our relationship. We weren’t just putting up with each other for our family sake…
We were finally trying to heal and build back trust…..Ok Big G upstairs I see you working on us.

Philadelphia, PA
WrestleMania 41, Night Two
Roman’s POV
I was almost home free, after the meeting last night I went to get Logan from Ma. I kept her with me last night on the bus to give Ma a break but now she was running late. I had sat her up in a nice hotel suite, she deserved it and needed a break.
Talking with Kara and Jey last night felt good, and I finally felt everything was falling into place.
“Daddy juice.” Logan said pulling on my leg. Putting my phone down I looked at her with a smile.
“Lo Lo wants to go get juice, huh?”
“Yea!” She yelled jumping up and down only stopping when she spotted Jey. I wondered how this was going to go especially since she just met him a couple weeks before a show.
Before I could warn him, she took off towards him as fast as her little feet could move. “Jey!” She yelled running for him as he kneeled down to scoop her up in his arms as she squealed.
“Hey Lo, it’s good to see you,” he whispered holding her close. I felt even more guilty, he thought Logan was his and was preparing to be her father. I took that away from him and I still felt terrible about it.
“Sorry she is bothering you, I can take her,” I said as Jey frowned at me.
“Uce, I ain’t gone mistreat or turn her away if she comes up to me and speaks to me. Regardless of how it all went down, ya’ll both my family.”
“I don’t want nobody to be uncomfortable, Ma was supposed to get her, but she is running a little late.”
“You good, what got you so stressed? The meeting went good last night so what’s the problem?”
“I need to do a couple interviews and finish getting ready,” I said trying to think of how I was going to do everything I needed with my mom running behind.
“We got her Roman, go do what you need to do.” Kara said, coming up beside Jey as he looked at her in shock. I didn’t know what to say myself, I didn’t want to put her in that kind of position.
“Uh, it’s ok Kara, you don’t have to keep her.”
“Roman, go get yourself together, we got her. Text your mom and tell her to call me when she gets here and we will meet her,” Kara, said giving Logan a small smile.
“Tee Tee Kara, up, ” Logan said reaching for her as Kara’s eyes shot to me in shock as Logan wrapped her little arms around her.
“How does she-”
“Rebecca suggested we start showing Logan pictures of everyone, so she knows who her family is. We started before I started taking Logan to visit Tia.”
Kara nodded as Jey caressed her back. “You ok baby, I can get her back.” Jey said as Logan laid her head on Kara’s shoulder.
“Uh, no, it’s ok…Mom is right, I am her auntie,” Kara said looking at Logan. I felt like a true fucking heel…Even though I made peace with everything, I still know that in a perfect world this was supposed to be our daughter together and I fucked it up.
“Hey, Logan I’m your auntie,” Kara whispered as Logan seemed entranced by her. “Tee Tee pretty,” she said rubbing Kara’s cheek.
“Well so are you pretty girl.”
“Uce, go do what you need. We got her,” Jey reassured me as I looked at Kara.
“Are you sure?”
“Bye, Roman,” Kara said continuing to play with Logan as I looked back at Jey who waved me off but I still couldn’t move. I was too entranced watching Logan and Kara interact with each other.
Jey’s POV
Second by second, I watched in awe as Logan was breaking down the hard walls Kara had built to protect herself. I had met Logan at a smackdown show that I had to do a dark match at a couple weeks back.
She was a beautiful child, and I couldn’t blame her for Roman and Tia’s mess.
I knew I had to let it go to actually move on. I knew Kara had done the same, but she still hadn’t dealt with the fact she had a niece that she hadn’t seen since the day she was born almost three years ago.
“I’ll be like an hour tops ya’ll. Hopefully Ma is on the way,” Roman said giving Logan a kiss on the cheek before finally leaving. I know he thinks I didn’t catch it but I saw the yearning in his eyes as he watch them.
Yea, I’mma have to keep a look out on that, I mean yea we made peace but I ain’t dumb.
“Hey, would you like to get some cookies?” Kara asked as Logan smiled. “Please.”
“A’ight lets go ya’ll,” I said guiding them to catering. Kara was quiet most of the time but was interacting with Logan adding in her two cents when the little girl would stop talking.
It wasn’t as awkward as I thought it would be, but I could tell Kara was deep in thought. I was glad they were bonding but I didn’t want her to feel like she had to do it.
Janice finally made it about thirty minutes later and I could see the shock in Janice’s face as she came around the corner seeing Kara talking to Logan.
“Ya’ll traffic was a mess, I am so sorry,” Janice said coming up in a rush taking a seat next to Kara trying to catch her breath. “Janice breathe, we had her,” Kara said laughing as Janice looked at Logan sitting next to Kara eating her cookies.
“I see that..I just didn’t believe it…..Has she been any trouble?” she asked as Kara smiled. “Nah, she’s been a perfect little angel.”
“Grammy, I see Tee Tee!” Logan said pointing at Kara as Janice laughed reaching over and ruffled her hair.
“I see that and I’m very happy you got a chance to meet Tee Tee Kara. Do you need to try to potty before we watch daddy?”
“Yes, Grammy.”
“Alright, let’s go potty then little lady.” Janice said, taking a breath and standing up.
“Bye Logan, it was nice to meet you.”
“Bye Tee Tee,” she said throwing her little arms around Kara’s neck and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“Well, I’ll be damned,” Janice whispered watching the exchange before picking up logan as she waved at me. “Bye Jey!”
“Bye Logan.”
I knew Kara was relieved that Janice was here. It was getting a little overwhelming for her. I could tell even though she was hiding it.
“Baby, are you ok?” I asked, wanting to know as she looked at me with tears in her eyes. “Yea, I’m ok.” Sighing, I got up and moved to sit beside her.
“Tell me what you thinkin’, Ma.”
“I am terrible, I never saw her. I let my anger for Tia and the hurt Roman caused block me from getting to know her.”
“Bae ain’t nobody blaming you for feeling how you felt. You had a right too, your life got turned upside down. How did you feel meeting her today?” I asked caressing her hand.
“I felt like someone reached in and snatched my soul when she looked at me and called me Tee Tee.”
“In a good way, or bad way?”
“Both…I felt horrible not being there for her knowing she has no mom. Then I felt a sudden joy when she called me Tee Tee, I am going crazy.” Kara said as I rubbed her back.
“No, you’re trying to come to terms with everything and ain’t nothing wrong with that baby.” I assured her as she seemed to be processing her feelings on the matter.
“I don’t see sleepovers and all of that happening, but I will acknowledge her and try to be less awkward when I see her. I’m going to be on the road with you sometimes and at family events. I’m bound to see her.”
“It will be ok when you see her again, stop sweatin’ it. You what I realized?”
“What?”
“Before you know it, we will have our own little Uces running round here,” I whispered in her ear as she blushed.
“I can’t wait to have babies with you.”
“Aye, I been trying to shoot the club up. That damn IUD hell, was stopping my soldiers from reachin’ they destination, I’m glad you got it out.”
“See I can’t with you.”
“What, I’m just being honest about wanting to have a baby with my wife.”
“Let’s just go so you can get ready to fall off the side of the stage. It’s almost time for the main event.”
“Why you say it like that?” I asked as Kara rolled her eyes at me, getting up.
“Because I think it’s stupid as hell and dangerous, that’s why. But you my man, and I’m your #1 fan, so I’mma stick beside you.”
“Well thank you for stickin’ beside me, that’s why I love you and married yo’ fine ass.” I whispered, making her laugh.
“I love you too, so please be careful.”
“I will and everything is going to be fine, just trust me. Jimmy and I got it planned perfectly.” Putting my arm around her shoulder, I lead her to Gorilla so we could watch the rest of the show, and I could be in place for when it was my turn to interference in the main event.
“Ya’ll better Mr. Main Event, or me and Trin will kill you both.”
 Kara’s POV
Trin and I sat by Paul in Gorilla watching on the monitor as the guys had gone off to go over everything again.
I already knew it was going to be pure cinema, and seeing Rock, Taker, Cena, Jey, Jimmy, Cody, Solo, Seth and Roman sneaking off to go over the finish, I knew we were in for a treat.
“I’mma need you and Jey to stop playing and get married already,” Trin said as we looked at some of the pictures she had taken on her phone this week. “Aww, send me those, sis.”
It definitely was a week of fun and we were able to squeeze in a lot of fun things outside of their WWE duties.
“I need to you get an Instagram at least, social media ain’t so bad.”
“So, you see us getting married, huh,” I said ignoring her Instagram talk, trying to change the subject. I really wasn’t an internet person so I would leave that to Jey and her.
“Yes, I do and you going to have me some nieces and nephews.”
Whoo, if she only knew….

One week Later
Pensacola State Prison
Roman’s POV
WrestleMania is in the books and I’m off for the next three or four months to try to ease Logan into a routine of seeing Tia once a week as well as trying to find a good daycare. I wanted to try to take some of the pressure off of Ma and allow her some alone time.
She has been my rock through all of this, but I can’t let her keep putting her life on hold.
Life for the moment is good, I just hate I agreed to this bullshit to bring Logan here. The only good thing that came from this is that Tia signed her rights over.
I’m just still confused as to how she all of a sudden wants to spend time with Logan.
What is she up too?
Maybe she wasn’t and I’m just still just somewhat reeling from Logan and Kara meeting during WrestleMania last week. It was not on my list of things happening this year but seeing Kara hold Logan made my heart ache.
Maybe she could be more apart of Logan’s life because bringing Logan here is seeming to do more harm than good.
“Hi sweetie, it’s your mom,” Tia said as Logan looked at her like she was a total stranger.  This was what I was afraid of, even though I showed Logan pictures of Tia she didn’t know her.
We have been visiting the prison once a week for the past month and Logan still wasn’t grasping Tia is her mother.
Then again, she recognized Kara and went willingly to her without any issue. “It’s ok Logan, it’s mommy.”
“Daddy,” her tiny voice whimpered clinging onto my leg. Sighing, I kneeled beside her. “I’m right here baby,” I soothed as she wrapped her arms around my neck and hid her face.
“What’s wrong with her Roman?” Tia asked as I looked at her like she was crazy. “She doesn’t know you Tia, it’s going to take time. She may never get comfortable with this.”
“You’ve turned her against me, all of you did. Tia accused as I had to bite my tongue to not say what I wanted. “Really, Tia after everything?”
“You could have at least been showing her pictures of me or something.”
“I do show her pictures of you every night and explain who you are. Maybe it’s the vibe you’re bringing. Babies pick up on bad vibes,” I warned as she sighed.
“Fine, I will try to do better. She’s gotten so big.” Tia said caressing Logans hair as she held me tighter.  “Yes, she’s almost three, what do you expect, Tia,” I said somewhat harshly.
“I know and I’m trying to make up for it Roman if you just give me a chance.”
Hopefully this will get better, because if it doesn’t, I’m not going to keep putting Logan through this.
“We will try again next week and hopefully it will be a little better.”
“I hope so, I ain’t got nothing but time so I have no problem waiting for her to come around Roman.”
That’s the part I’m scared of, and I still feel like something is off.

One Month Later
Harvard Medical School
Commencement ceremony
Jey’s POV
I was anxious and excited to see Kara receive her degree. She had done what she set out to do. The day was going great until Rebecca showed up and sat right next to bill.
“A’ight chill ya’ll I’m trying to hear.” I warned as Rebecca continued to push Bill’s buttons.
“This year’s graduates have special messages for their families, and we are allowing them if they choose to bring their children up with them. This is a major accomplishment and should be shared with those they love. Please cheer on every graduate and let’s enjoy this year’s commencement ceremony.”
“Ain’t nobody invited you Rebecca, why are you here?”
“You can’t block me out from her graduation, Bill. I’m her mother, I invited myself.”
“Man, can ya’ll be quiet I’m trying to hear. This ain’t bout ya’ll, this is Kara’s day,” I hissed. They were pissing me off, this was about Kara and not their damn drama.
“All I said is she should have told Kara she was coming instead of just popping up.”
“Now ain’t the time though, and if ya’ll can’t chill out you both can go.” Trin said as Bill moved from beside Rebecca.
“Thank you! Stop feeding into it and move.” Jimmy scolded as Trin shook her head.
“I don’t even know why you sat over there anyway,” I said moving so he could sit beside me.
“She sat beside me,” he hissed as I rolled my eyes. “So, you move…Don’t let her control your emotions Bill,” my mother whispered as Bill sat back trying to calm down.
The last couple months Bill had started the process of filing for a divorce and Rebecca is grasping at straws to try to keep him in the marriage.
“Rebecca sit there and chill out before I throw you over this balcony.”
“Don’t threaten me Tani, I know how to act.”
“Mama, let it go,” I whispered seeing it’s almost Kara’s turn to have her name called.
“How does this work?” Trin asked seeing they were skipping around. “They are calling by program, and degrees earned.”
“Ok, I was about to say they got my girl messed up, she supposed to be in line with the M’s,” Trin said taking pictures of Kara standing in line as Bill snickered shaking his head.
“There she is, look at her in her cap and gown.” Trin gushed as Kara nervously rubbed her hood.
“Still though, her last name Morris, we on the letter D on this program Trin,” Jimmy said as I shot him a look to shut the fuck up.
“Maybe don’t nobody last name starts with E through L, in this degree program Jimmy. Now hush, so I can hear,” I hissed as he smiled at me.
“Sure thing twin, even though-”
“Don’t worry about it Jimmy.” My mother said cutting him off with a smile.  “Just know Kara is where she’s supposed to be at in line, I can assure you,” mother said rubbing my knee trying to calm me down.
I felt nervous, like it was my graduation.
“Once again, these following graduates are receiving their degree in Doctor of Medicine and management.”
“Dr. Kara Fatu!” Dr. Kouper said as we all jumped up cheering her on. My heart filled with pride watching Kara walk across the stage, her beautiful bright smile on display.
I was so proud of her, after everything she had made it.
“Yes! That’s my sister!!!! Wait, what the hell did she say?!” Trin screamed, pausing in shock as Jimmy snickered rubbing her shoulder before continuing to cheer.
“Kara and twin done snuck and got married on us baby.”
“Oh my gosh Jurdy! I knew something was up!”
“Gon’ head sis, welcome to the family!” Jimmy yelled as I shushed them wanting to hear Dr. Kouper.
“Kara will be hooded by Dr. Stanly Moore.” I couldn’t image how that felt for Kara. Dr. Moore meant the world to her and was there from the beginning. He encouraged her throughout the years and even kept in touch when she left medical school for the first time.
“Yea, Dr. Fatu, you did that, Ma,” I whispered trying to hold it together as Dr. Moore placed the hood around her neck.
“Kara would love to thank her amazing husband Joshua, her parents, her sister Trinity, brother-in-law Jonathon, Roman, Dr. Moore and her other professors for their unwavering love and support.”
I couldn’t contain it no more.
“You did it baby! I love you, Dr. Fatu!”  I screamed not caring about protocol in that moment. My girl was standing there looking like a goddess and was now a doctor.
“Yes! We love you, Kara!” Trin screamed as my mom laughed. “Lord, ya’ll gon’ get us kicked out.”
“Hell, it’s over with now, they done gave her that degree and hooded her, we can leave now.” Bill said wiping his tears.
Dr. Kouper smiled in our direction, giving us a few more seconds before handing Kara something and picking right back up from where she left off.
“Kara has deferred the start of her residency until February 2025 in pediatrics and internal medicine at Pensacola’s children’s hospital & Pensacola General Hospital. Kara also wanted us to help her share some amazing news with her husband and family in attendance."
“Oh my God, look!!!” Trin screamed as I looked up at the big screen in shock seeing Kara holding up a tiny onesie.
“Daddy’s #1 fan.” I read in shock, getting choked up as my mother hugged me. “Congratulations baby. I’m so happy for ya’ll.”
“I’mma be a daddy.” I said in disbelief.
“Baby Fatu will be arriving Thanksgiving 2024, congratulations Kara and Joshua!”
“How about that, I’m about to be a paw paw again.”
“Yes!!! Auntie is on duty!” I heard Trin yell as I turned to look back at her still in shock as she leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. “Congratulations Brother.”
“Thank you, sister.” Looking back at the stage I saw Kara making her way back to her seat. “Congrats twin.”
“Thanks, bro.”
Like I couldn’t believe it, I was going to be a daddy…Like Kara and I made a baby. She was so worried she couldn’t have children because her and Roman tried so hard for years, but they couldn’t get pregnant.
“I can’t believe you did this to her! It wasn’t bad enough you rushed her into marriage. Now she’s pregnant, you did this on purpose and now she’ll never complete her residency.”
“Rebecca shut the hell up.” bill hissed as I put my hand on his shoulder. “I got it pops, first off, I married Kara because I love her. She ain’t never gotta worry about givin’ up anything for me. We in this together.”
“How is she going to fulfill her dreams now Joshua with a baby depending on her? She’s going to get attached, and never want to leave home.”
“Kara is going to do her residency, open up her practice and do everything she’s ever wanted to do if I gotta sit home while she does it.”
“Yea, right….Kara is going to be home alone stressing, and resenting you in the end.”
“Don’t assume you know our relationship based off the shit she went through with Roman and your life with Bill. I got Kara and she got me, end of discussion.”
Feeling myself about to lose it and cuss her ass out, I got up and moved to the end of the aisle.
“Josh, where you goin’ baby?”
“I’m going to wait for my wife at our designated meeting place to tell her how much I love her, and how happy I am.” I needed some air because we were about to get thrown out  if I stayed in there with Rebecca.
Kara’s POV
It was done, I was now Dr. Kara Fatu. It seemed time passed so fast as we stood to give the Declaration of Geneva before being dismissed.
Marching out of the auditorium I stepped outside taking a deep breath. “Kara, you did it…It was hard, but you did it,” I whispered overwhelmed. Not wanting to get lost in the sea of people I chatted with a few classmates before their families found them. We took a few selfies waiting for the crowd to move a little, people were everywhere.
The only thing I really wanted to do was hug my husband. Finally heading towards our meeting place, I was shocked to see my mother.
“Now wait a minute you ain’t gonna blame Josh for Kara wanting a break to live her life. These last two and half years been hell on her. Hell it's been rough on everyone especially with the shit you let Tia pu and your dirty lil secret," my dad said as I shook my head.
Damn, can we have one day where everybody gets along.
"Kiss my entire ass Bill."
"You gotta actually have an ass to kiss first off."
They really doing this now and why is she even here. I didn’t invite her. Making my way towards them I heard Jey standing his ground.
“I ain’t got time for you Rebecca I’m leave Bill alone. I'm looking for my wife to congratulate her,” Jey said before spotting me. With a smile and his arms stretched out wide, I ran to him.
“I did it!” I cried jumping in his arms.” I’m so proud of you baby."
"We did it" I cried tuning out everyone else but him, as he held me tighter.
"Oh shit, am I holding you too tight.”
“No, I’m ok,” I reassured him. The look of joy and love on his face was something I will remember forever as he put me down and I gave him the onesie. “Congratulations Daddy.”
“I can’t believe this; we made a baby,” Jey said in disbelief now caressing my stomach.
“We did, and I can’t wait to meet him or her. Our lips met in a gentle kiss as the realization really hit us, we were really going to be parents.
“I hate I have to share you with everybody right now.” I hated it too and he was right. As soon as he released me from his arms, Trin came over.
“Girl, give me a hug! You done gagged me for today.” Smiling, I gave Trin a long hug both of us laughing when Jimmy joined in. “Sister-in-law welcome to the family.”
“I’m sorry, ya’ll we just wanted to wait a little while before we told anyone.”
“It’s’ ok I’m so happy for ya’ll and I’m about to be a whole auntie out here in these streets,” Trin gushed as my dad came towards us.
“My baby is a doctor, let me see her,” my dad gloated as I gave him a hug and then Ma Fatu.
“So nobody is gonna ask Kara why she would do this to herself?” My mother asked as I rolled my eyes.
“No what we want to ask you why you ain't congratulated your daughter?” Jimmy asked pointing out my mother’s attitude.
"And what exactly did I do to myself mama, besides finally living my life for me?"
“Kara, I just can't--- You really got married and didn’t tell me? I would have been there. You’re pregnant, like what were you thinking?”
“Well, I didn’t want you here mama, and I thought that was made crystal clear since we haven’t talked since I told dad what you did.
“Kara-”
“I married Josh because I love him…I’m having his baby because that is our dream, and it doesn’t concern nobody but me and him.”
Seeing how serious I was she changed her tune. “I’m sorry, it all just hit me at once that you got married and about to have a baby. I got scared you were giving up on your dreams again.”
The look of shame on her face wasn’t lost upon me. I got it and understood it, but it wasn’t her place especially after all she had done.
“I’m not givin’ up nothing, Ma. You ain’t gotta worry about me.”
“Um, so how long have ya’ll been married?” Trin asked changing the subject as Jey smiled. “It’s been about five months, sis.”
“So right after the trial, you made an honest woman out of her, huh?” Jimmy joked as my mother sighed, pulling me into a hug.
It was awkward to say the least. “I know you didn’t invite me, but I wanted to show you I’m serious about us working this out. I love you and I’m proud of you.”
“Thank you for coming.”
“How far along are you sweetie?”
“I’m three months along, Ma. I found out a couple days ago when I went for my checkup.” My mother frowning, hearing me call Jey’s mom, Ma.
“I can’t believe this shit-”
“Hush, it don’t matter what you believe Rebecca,” my dad said rubbing my back.
“Well, you gon’ be sick of me, cause I’mma stay doin’ this,” Jey said rubbing my stomach as I laughed.
“I would never.”
“Hey baby, it’s yo’ daddy.”
Oouu! I can’t wait to shop for baby clothes,” Trin said as I saw my mother looking very uncomfortable.
“Well let’s get some pictures with Dr. Fatu,” my dad said somewhat breaking the ice as we all posed for a few photos.
Regardless of how my mom felt, today was a good day and she wasn’t going to spoil it for me.
Roman’s POV
I had come to Kara’s graduation and sat where nobody could see me. I felt I had to be here and the joy on Kara’s face was something I’m happy I got to see in person. The news about the baby stunned me, as if I needed even more proof we weren’t meant to be together anymore.
“Daddy, see Tee Tee,” Logan said pointing at Kara who was taking a picture with auntie Tani.
“No baby, we just came to cheer her on. I don’t want to bother her because she’s really busy right now.”
“Ok daddy,” Logan said sadly. I knew it was for the best, I didn’t want things to be even more awkward than Kara’s mother was. That was cringe watching from afar because I know she was probably showing her ass.
Feeling a hand on my shoulder I tensed. “Aye, it’s just me, Uce,” realizing it was Jimmy the nervous tension left my body.
“Hey, we were just leaving, I just wanted to support Kara on her graduation day.”
“Hey, lil mama it’s nice to meet you,” Jimmy said kneeling down as Logan gave him a hug.
Damn, she really recognizes and likes everyone but her own mother.
“Tee Tee win Wimmy,” Logan said as Jimmy chuckled. “She sure did.”
“Sorry, she has a little trouble with her J’s.”
“I knew what she meant, and I think it’s cute, so why ya’ll hidin’ over here.”
“I wanted to support Kara; I was planning to come over there but hearing about the baby, i’m still a little stunned.”
“I can understand that, and I know she would too,” Jimmy said standing up with Logan as she put her head on his shoulder.
“She’s going to be an amazing mom and I’m just happy for her. I’m happy for both of them, it just still stings a lot.”
“Well, I ain’t pushin’, they think I went to the bathroom and that’s the story I’m sticking with,” he said looking around at the crowd starting to thin out, passing Logan back to me.
“Tell Jimmy see you later.”
“See you later,” she said blowing him a kiss. “Bye Logan, I’ll see you soon.” The bright smile on her face as he blew her a kiss back let me knew then and there Jimmy was going to be her partner in crime as she got older.
Logan and I quietly slipped away unnoticed and went back to the car.
“Mr. Reigns anywhere else you would like to go?”
“Uh, can you find us an ice cream shop before we head back to the airport.”
“Yay! Ice cream!”
I knew she was going to be bouncing off the walls of the jet, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. After setting up Logan's ipad, I pulled out my phone to see had Trin or Jey posted any pictures on Instagram. I knew Jimmy hadn't, his ass might as well not have Instagram since he never posts.
Trin hadn't posted anything yet. "Damn, you slippin' Trin." Heading to Jey's page, I saw he hadn't put any photos up from the ceromony but had just made an apreciation post in honor of Kara.
It was a photo of Kara in her wedding gown, on the beach.
Tumblr media
In this moment I had to agree with Jey and I don't do that much.
Life was good.

Two Weeks Later
Pensacola State Prison
Rebecca’s POV
“What do you mean you can’t help me?!” Tia hissed as I sat with her in the family visiting room. “I ain’t being an accessory to this Tia, it ain’t right.”
“Look, all you gotta do is come to the hospital. I’ll make a scene when they try to take me for a CT scan. I will ask can you go in with me and I’ll handle the rest.”
“I can’t Tia, and I won’t. You’re on your own.”
“I already have it all worked out and I promise if you help me, you’ll never see me again.”
 “Tia-”
“Look just think about it, its months away anyway, this type of thing takes planning. I’m only going to have one chance, and I got to make it count.”
“Where are you planning to go Tia?”
“Far away, that’s all you need to know. Now are you going to help me or not?”
“No, I’m not.”
“Then I guess we got nothing else to discuss, you ain’t gotta worry about visiting me ever again.”
“Tia, I love you, but you are going to get yourself killed and I’m not going to watch you do it.”
“I don’t need you, but you’re going to be sorry. I promise you will.”
Standing up I looked at my daughter and for the first time I realized she was a lost cause…My child was a lost cause that couldn’t be saved.
“Just leave then, and tell Kara I’m happy she got everything like she always does. I mean she finally got knocked up right, even married Josh. I saw that little post he made on instagram.
“Tia, leave Kara alone and how do you even have a phone in here?”
“I have my ways, guard I’m ready to go back to the yard,” Tia said smugly standing up as well.
“Tia, I’m tellin’ you, leave Kara be!”
“I’ll see ya’ll soon, Ma..Just remember no matter what you do from here on out, I'll always be two steps ahead of you.”
"You're going to get yourself killed."
"Well, lucky me, cause' I ain't afraid to die."
Her statement chilling me to my soul as I left her alone in the visiting room. She was just too far gone, and I knew what I had to do.
Waiting until I got to the front, I politely went over to a guard. “Um, excuse me, I have some information that I need to tell the warden. A prisoner is trying to plan an escape.”
“Ma’am come with me.”  Leading me into a somewhat small conference room I felt closed in and nervous.
Yea, I could never do prison time, I ain’t built for it at all.
“Just have a seat if you’d like and I’ll fetch the warden for you.” As the guard disappeared, I couldn’t help but pace, my nerves were getting the better of me.
“I just can’t let this go on anymore. Continuing to pace, I couldn’t help but think about Logan, Kara, and the baby. I couldn’t let her hurt them; I would die first.
Kara and I were trying to work on our relationship, I knew we had a long way to go but I knew the first step was finally choosing her.
This time and for the rest of my life I’m choosing her, even if it kills me.

Would it really kill you if we kissed? Final
Supergirl. Baby Danvers. Kara Danvers x B!D!Reader, Alex Danvers x B!D!Reader, Lena Luthor x Reader, Esmé Danvers.
Word Count: 3360.
Previously on part 2. Part 3 of 3 :)
You touch down on the rooftop of your apartment building, the cool night air sharp against your skin, a reminder that you're back in National City, back to the familiar world you tried so hard to leave behind. Once inside, you let your bag drop to the floor, the sound echoing in the silence, and you almost laugh at the absurdity of it—like you thought coming back here would make any of it feel better. But here you are, alone in your apartment, as if you could somehow outrun everything boiling up inside you.
You slump down onto the edge of your bed, and the silence presses in, thick and suffocating. You want to tear it apart, rip through this emptiness just to feel something else, anything else. But all that’s left is the quiet of the apartment against the loud of your raging mind.
You try to remind yourself why you came back—how you told yourself that being away from your sisters, from Lena, would give you space to breathe. But the air here feels no less heavy, and every time you close your eyes, you’re back on that island, hearing your own voice cut through the night,. Every word you threw at Kara and Alex loops through your mind, over and over, until you can barely tell where the anger ends and the regret begins.
And then, there it is, unbidden: the memory of Lena’s smile, her soft laugh, the way her hand lingered just a fraction too long when she’d touch your arm. You wonder what she’s thinking now—if Kara told her what happened, or if she just thinks you’ve vanished, abandoning this one fragile connection you were terrified to admit even to yourself.
You let out a shaky breath, pressing the heels of your palms into your eyes. It doesn’t matter, you tell yourself. You’ve burned the bridge, and you don’t deserve to look back. But the ache doesn’t ease; it settles deeper, a constant reminder that you’ve pushed away everything and everyone that mattered, leaving you with the raw, hollow ache of being completely alone.
The next day, you fly to Midvale, drawn back to the place that’s always felt like home. J’onn and M’gann assure you they have things covered, their gentle understanding a stark contrast to the turmoil you’re carrying. But here you are, hoping that maybe, while back home, the guilt from burning all those bridges won’t feel as heavy.
The moment you arrive, Eliza’s face lights up, her arms open wide for you. “My little girl,” she says softly, pulling you into the kind of hug you didn’t realize you needed. “Wait—I thought you were all off on an island somewhere? Didn’t you go for a vacation?”
"Hmm, yeah. I—I had to come back early because of this… thing." you reply, the words clumsy on your tongue, but she doesn’t press.
Instead she scans your face. Eliza might not be your birth mother, but damn does she know you like one. She can see right through you, and you don't know if you're just that easy to read or if the people in your life just know you deeply.
"Well then, come in. Let's do the thing." She guides you inside the house, and you try to distract yourself with old feelings and memories instead of the new ones.
It's later that day when Eliza settles on the couch next to you, watching you with that quiet, gentle patience she's always had. "You know,” she begins softly, “you’ve always had the heart of a hero.”
“I think you’re confusing me with Kara,” you mutter, eyes fixed on the floor, but Eliza shakes her head, smiling.
"No, I'm not. Kara was always about the big thing—saving the world. But you, you've always been about the little things. Feeding the homeless, nursing birds and cats back to health, getting stray dogs into the house…" She sighs and you bite your lips so you don't smile at the memories. "You didn't even use your powers most of the time."
"Well, if I remember correctly, I wasn't allowed to."
"Oh, like that ever stopped the two of you." she chuckles, and despite yourself, you smile at the memories. "When you two landed here, Kara was mad most of the time. Just angry at the world and I got that, she had every reason. But you were always so kind. A sweet little thing ready to help anything that moved. Oh, and let’s not forget the plants,” she adds with a wink.
“Where are you going with this?”
She breathes deep. "That always worried me."
"What? You worried about me?"
“Still do, sweetheart. You had every reason to be mad too. But you never let your feelings show. You keep so much inside, bottled up.” Eliza reaches for your face, her hand soothing on your cheek, and you lean into the touch you so desperately need. “I don’t know what happened, but you’re allowed to be a mess, to explode, to embrace the difficult feelings.”
You lean into her hand, your eyes stinging. “Well, you might be glad to know that I… finally let it out.”
She nods slowly, eyes full of warmth. “And that’s okay. Just don’t hold on to those feelings for too long. Don’t let them chip away at the good, sweet part of you.”
You nod, her words sinking in as you finally let yourself breathe. Maybe it’s time to start processing all of this without the anger clouding it, without the need to keep defending your heart. You’re home now, and maybe here, you can start to sift through everything, piece by piece, until it hurts a little less.
Over the next couple of days, you stay in Midvale, trying to get your shit together while Eliza makes sure you’re giving yourself the space to feel every hurt, every regret you’ve been holding back. Slowly, you reconnect with parts of yourself you’d almost forgotten in all this mess, while Lena's words take root in some deep place inside—a place that cannot simply be brushed off or resolved, only managed.
You're not alone. You have to stop being alone.
When you finally feel ready, you head back to National City, determined to face the aftermath of your choices. The first thing you see when you walk into your apartment is Kara—waiting for you. The sight of her feels like a punch to the gut, all the words you’d left unspoken swirling around in your mind.
"Kara!" You manage to squeak out, your heart racing. "You're—you're back!"
Kara lets out a small sigh, her shoulders slumping as if the weight of your words has landed squarely on her just now. "I can't believe you said all those mean things and just... left us to sit with them."
You look down, biting the inside of your mouth, your heart tightening. "I know. I'm sorry. I—I guess I couldn't handle you being disappointed in me."
Kara’s expression softens, her gaze finding yours. "I would never be disappointed in you," she says quietly, stepping closer until she’s just a breath away. Her voice holds a warmth that reaches past your defenses. "I just don’t understand why you went so long without telling me any of this. Why would you keep it all to yourself?"
"Because I was afraid," you admit, the words coming out barely above a whisper. You clench your hands together, holding back the wave of emotions threatening to spill over. "Afraid to lose you. To lose everyone, actually." Your voice shakes, and you blink hard, forcing down the tears currently burning your eyes. "I can’t lose you, Kara."
Kara reaches out, her hand gentle as it lands on your shoulder. "You’ll never lose me, Y/N." she murmurs, her voice filled with an honesty that you can’t ignore. "But I don’t want you to feel like you’re losing yourself just to be my sister, or some idea of what you think I need you to be."
You breathe in, taking in the truth of her words, letting them settle into the cracks you’ve been trying to ignore. "It’s just... it’s exhausting, Kara. Trying to keep up with you and everything I need to be. And it hurts. All of it."
"I never wanted you to feel like that," she says, her voice filled with regret. "I thought we were doing this together. But now I see, I was so focused on how much having you by my side helped me, how much I needed you, that I didn’t think about how it felt for you."
You meet her eyes, finally allowing yourself to let down some of the defenses you've built up. "I didn’t know you needed me, I just felt like I was just fading into the background. Just the other hero, the one who's supposed to fit into your world. I didn’t want you to feel like I was letting you down."
Kara’s thumb traces gently along your cheekbone, wiping away the last of your tears. “You’ve never let me down, and you were never just another hero.” Her words are like a balm on a wound that’s been aching for too long. “Maybe I got so used to you being my strength that I forgot to let you lean on me too. But you’re not just my little sister or my backup out there. You were never second best to me. You’re everything good that I wish I could be.” Her voice wavers, a crack slipping through her steady tone. “I’m sorry that I haven’t always shown you that. And I’m sorry I made you feel like you had to be someone you didn’t want to be.”
The raw honesty in her voice, the way her words strip away the last remnants of the defenses you’ve held, reaches deep inside you. You take a shaky breath, nodding as the fear that’s held you silent finally dissolves, leaving only the truth between you.
"I guess things will change a little if you really want me there."
"Oh trust me, knowing you're there with me it's what makes me like supering so much." Kara’s hands cup your face softly, grounding you in this moment. “And Rao, Y/N, I’m not in love with Lena. I never was, and I never will be. And even if I was…” She pauses, her gaze unwavering. “I would always put your happiness above mine.”
“Don’t say that,” you whisper, your heart clenching.
“It’s true. You mean everything to me. But also—Lena’s just my best friend. I love her, but not like that, okay?” Kara’s voice is gentle, pleading. “Please, do something about it. You deserve to be happy with her. You’ve held back for so long, and I hate that you felt you had to.”
A small, trembling smile breaks through as the weight of everything you’ve been carrying finally lightens enough for you to throw your arms around your sister, pulling her into a hug that’s been building since this whole thing started.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you and pushed you away,” you whisper, a smile breaking through the last of your tears. “I missed you every day.”
“I missed you too.” Kara’s voice is soft, and you can hear the smile in it—a warmth that melts away the tension in your body, easing the ache you’ve been holding onto. The closeness, her arms around you, feels like the piece you’d been missing all along.
For a moment, you both stay like that, wrapped in the quiet, finally able to be vulnerable without walls, without all the unspoken weight between you. In her arms, with her smile in your ear, the ache doesn’t just ease—it starts to heal.
Kara places a soft kiss on the top of your head, her arms still holding you close. “Now go. Go talk to Lena.”
You pull back slightly, hesitating. “Are you sure? Are we… good?”
Her smile is gentle, warm. “I think we haven’t been this good in months. So yeah, I’m sure. Go to her!”
Your heart swells, and you lean in, pressing a grateful kiss to her cheek. “I love you,” you murmur, the words carrying more weight than ever.
Her smile widens, eyes shining. “I love you, ie.”
With that, you take a steadying breath, feeling stronger than you have in a long time, ready to face whatever comes next. And next is… Alex.
You knock on her door, expecting to be greeted with anger, but instead, you’re met with a soft, “Hey! Come on in. We’re still unpacking!”
“Auntie!” Esmé jumps onto your leg, her face lighting up with joy as you scoop her up and plant a smooch on her cheek, earning a delighted giggle. “Where were you?”
“Oh, I went to visit your grandma.”
Alex glances up from her bag, raising an eyebrow. “Did you really go to see Mom?”
“Yep.” You set Esmé down, and she dashes off, following Kelly's call to help organize her room—basically code for leaving you and Alex alone.
“So I don’t have to go full mom on you?” Alex asks, crossing her arms playfully, and a smile tugs at your lips.
“Guess not.”
“Good.” Alex steps closer and places a gentle kiss on your forehead, her warmth soothing. “Sorry I didn’t keep your secret.”
“No, Alex, you were right. It was eating me alive. I don’t know how I didn’t explode earlier. I’m sorry for making you feel guilty; you are the perfect big sis.” You offer her a soft smile, genuine gratitude flowing between you. “I’m glad I finally got it all out in the open.”
Alex reaches for your arm, her touch reassuring. “Feel better now?”
You nod. “A bit guilty from all the yelling, but yeah. I guess I needed that. It’s like the weight’s been lifted.”
“Have you seen Lena yet?” she asks, her expression turning serious.
“No. Just Kara.”
“Alright then. Thanks for stopping by. Don't leave without saying goodbye to your niece again. And go confess your feelings to Lena, or I swear to God, I’ll tell her myself.”
You narrow your eyes at her, half-serious. “Just because this worked once doesn’t mean it will work again.”
“Hmmm, I’m pretty sure it will.” she says with a smirk, a glimmer of encouragement in her gaze.
You give her balcony door a soft knock, peering in to see Lena by the couch, a drink in hand, looking more tired than before the vacation. Her bag still sits half-unpacked nearby. At the sight of you, she scowls but heads over, unlocking the balcony door and stepping aside for you to come in.
“Hey, Lena,” you offer, voice soft.
“Don’t ‘hey Lena’ me,” she snaps, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. “I’m mad at you!” She turns abruptly and heads toward the kitchen, leaving you standing by the door, unsure whether you should follow. “How could you? We were all excited to spend time with you, to finally have you around without your lame ass excuses, but you spent most of the time there hiding behind a six-year-old, and then you just got up and left without a word!”
“Lena, I’m so—”
But she doesn’t let you finish. “Did I not deserve a goodbye? Do I really mean so little to you?”
The hurt in her voice strikes deep, and you take a step closer, the words tumbling out before you can stop them. “No! Lena, you mean everything to me! I just… I couldn’t face you. Not with everything I was feeling.”
She finally turns to look at you, her eyes sharp, a blend of anger and pain. “Then tell me. What was so unbearable that you couldn’t talk to me? Because I was there baring my heart open to you. And you —you just left me! You left us! What's the point of a family trip if you're not even there?”
You swallow hard, heart pounding as you force yourself to meet her gaze. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. You're right, I never should've left."
"Of course I'm right!" Her hands turn into fists, angry bubbling up and you let her have her outburst, because now you understand how important they are. "I tried everything, Y/N. I begged you for your time. I tried to have you open up to me, but you just kept shutting me off! You've been shutting me off for months now, and God, what did I do to you?” Lena’s voice breaks. “What did I do to deserve it? Why do you hate me now?"
"I don't. Lena, baby, I could never hate you." You force yourself to come closer even though you are terrified of her reaction to what you're about to say. "I actually love you so much, I was scared of the feeling."
"What?"
"I love you, Lena. I've been in love with you since the first time I saw you."
Lena’s expression falters, the anger flickering into surprise, maybe even shock. She stares at you, words failing her as she searches your face, as if trying to decipher if she heard you right, if you’re serious. The silence stretches thin, and for a split second, you’re sure you’ve gone too far, that you’ve finally broken something you can’t fix.
But then, slowly, Lena’s shoulders drop, and a softness replaces the tension in her eyes. “You… you love me?” she whispers, her voice barely more than a breath.
You nod, a shaky exhale leaving your lips as you finally let the words settle into the open. "I love you. I know it might seem impossible after how I acted, and I know I messed up by pushing you away. But, Lena, every single moment, I’ve been in love with you. It was just… easier to hide than to risk losing you over it.”
"God, you're—you're infuriating, Y/N Danvers!" She grabs the collar of your t-shirt with surprising strength, prompting you closer. "If you didn't spend all of your time running and hiding from me, you would see that I'm also in love with you!"
“You are?” you almost stumble back in shock, but she’s holding you so tightly that you barely move. “You really feel the same?”
"Yes, darling.” Her tone is suddenly so sweet and soft, and yet she doesn’t let go of you. “I really do feel the same. Now you already made me wait for too long, so… Would it really kill you if we kissed?"
Your heart races as her words sink in, the weight of her admission filling the air between you. You stare into her eyes, searching for any hint of doubt, but all you see is warmth and a fierce determination that makes you feel like the only person in the world.
"It might kill me if we don't."
Without a second thought, you close the distance, your lips finding hers in a rush of pent-up emotion. The kiss is electrifying, a fire that you both had been trying to deny for far too long. Lena’s hands release their grip on your collar and tangle in your hair, pulling you closer as if she’s afraid you might vanish again. You melt into her, relishing the sweetness of the moment, the soft taste of her lips awakening every nerve ending in your body.
When you finally pull away, breathless, Lena’s eyes shine with a mix of mischief and sincerity. “See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
“Actually, I was terrified.” you joke, and she rolls her eyes at your antics.
“Well then, how about another kiss to make you feel less scared?”
You laugh, the sound bubbling up as you lean in again, savoring the sensation of her against you, the way her lips move with yours, the warmth radiating from her body. In that moment, the past feels like a distant memory, and all that matters is this connection between you both.
As you pull back, breathless and smiling, Lena’s gaze is intense, filled with promise. “You’re not going anywhere this time, right?”
“Never again.” you reply, your heart full of certainty. “I’m right where I wanna be.”

so hypothetically, if chris dumps jade in the most embarrassing way possible, and if he begs to the MC for forgiveness, would it be possible to get back with him? and how would cam, kara and gage and our aunt react? and how would jade and our parents react to the news that MC and chris are getting back together?
Nah, the Chris ship has sailed, shoved that sack of shit off the plank and into the deep dark inky abyss. May Cthulhu accept this offering -
Alright, got that out of my system.
❤️ Cam - He would be feeling so many things. Anger, confusion, heartache. This was your chance to be free from Chris, his chance to finally....How could you take Chris back? After everything, he'll even ask MC as much. You deserve better, and Chris never has and never will deserve you. For once in his life, he can't look at you. He can't come to terms with this, losing you again. It will break him.
💙 G - They wouldn't put it past Chris to have manipulated you. That is the only thing that would make sense. G noticed early on when MC and Chris were together, that MC was losing themself. In the relationship, in the way that Chris wanted to be the center of attention. It's something they don't want to see again. Deep down, you have to know Chris will do it again. (They're bitter. so so bitter and hurt, and trying to hide that behind their hate for Chris.)
💚 Kara - Depends, if Kara and MC have been flirting and bridging that gap from friends to more. She would be hurt, how could she not be? But, she wants Chris to be happy and MC. So..maybe the two of them can be happy together, maybe this time you stand a chance. But she doesn't really believe that. She would be cheering you on, but her support is empty. That hurts her even more.
😇 Em - Hell no. Nope, not happening on her watch. Em was never a fan of Chris, and clearly MC hit their head or something. There is no way this is a good idea. She will sit MC down, have a long chat. I mean hours spent reminding you each time Chris put off seeing you for work, especially in those last few months. When Chris was spending time with Jade, and you were happily waiting to show them the venue for your wedding.
💀 Jade - Oh, what's this? You can't find someone on your own? (Jade's a hypocrite) You're so desperate that you would take Chris back after everything? It's bad enough Chris cheated on you, but even worse now. Wow, talk about no self respect.
👥 MC's parents - Oh...well..this is awkward. They want to support Chris, I mean the fact they're a Clarke and...well what they really mean to say is that you two have so much history. Years, so you should be happy. But what's this? Jade's upset. Did you break them up? You would really do that to your sister after everything she has done for you? Helping raise your dog, helping Chris through the breakup and falling for them. How could you do this to her!?

L-Corp and chilled scotch
The scotch pours into her cup, the chill saturates through the glass, and the temptation to just throw the glass and drink directly from the bottle taunts her yet again. She resists.
Unlike her ability to resist Kara.
Kara Danvers or rather Supergirl, the hero that is the beloved of National City.
And a habitual liar.
She throws back the scotch, the cool temperature a balm across the burn of the alcohol. Hope sits on her desk, a swirling cubical sculpture, that offers up yet another simulation for Lena to attempt.
Or would have.
The doors swing open with a bang, and Samantha Arias stands there, an expression of fury on her usually smug or gentle expressions.
"Lena Kieran Luthor," she snaps. "I am sick of you dodging my phone calls."
"Oh?" She pours herself another drink and wishes she'd told Jess to not allow anyone into her office. She'd forgotten Sam had full access to her still.
"Normally I'd just roll with it." Sam slams the doors shut, marches over and plucks the glass right out of Lena's hands. "But to ghost Ruby? Your goddaughter?"
So that's the source of Sam's fury. Lena crosses her arms over her chest.
"Now that I won't allow. Ruby adores you, Lena, and you do not get to ice her out like this."
"It's better for her," Lena starts to say, but Sam does the unthinkable. She dumps the scotch into the garbage. "Hey! That's damn good scotch you're wasting!"
"I don't want to have this talk if you're drunk." Sam sighs and presses flips her hair over her shoulder. "I think it's time Ruby and I returned to National CIty, Lena."
"No, you're will not." Lena scowls. "You have Metropolis."
"And what good is that if my best friend is currently ghosting her goddaughter, drinking her life away, and apparently mismanaging L-Corp's funds?" Sam stabs her finger at Lena's chest. "Don't think I haven't noticed that either. What the hell has you this worked up? Is it Kara?"
Lena attempts to school her face in time but the shock of Sam's very accurate guess slips out for a brief second. Long enough for Sam to catch it.
"It is Kara." The fury that Sam rode in with switches to concern. "Lena, whatever happened? You don't have to face it alone. I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you."
"You don't know what I've done, Sam," Lena says flatly. She doesn't want Sam's pity. "Would you want a murderer interacting with Ruby?"
Sam flips her hair over her shoulder again and does a rather dashing pose that reminds Lena far too much of Reign. "Guess whose body murdered dozens and destabilized Earth's climate? Yup, that's me!"
"It wasn't really you," Lena protests.
"Does it matter?" Sam gestures to the sofa, and when Lena doesn't move, she, far more gently than Lena deserves, pushes her down and settles next to her. "Reign, in my body, tried to kill Ruby. There are times Ruby looks at me, and I see fear in her eyes. That's not something we can just erase from her memory, Lena. My hands are coated in blood regardless of who did it. I must live with that, so whatever you've done? It can't be worse than that."
"I killed my brother, Sam," Lena blurts out, and is appalled at herself. She's never said it out loud like this before. Not since she shot Lex, saw his proof of Kara Danvers = Supergirl, and then lit the whole bunker on fire, sealing it forever in concrete and metal with the DNA lock. "Took my pistol, and shot him right in the chest. My own brother. And I did it thinking I was saving Kara, saving the world. But I was a fool." She looks away and reaches for the scotch.
Sam puts it out of her reach and grasps her hands instead. "You're not a fool," she says, softly. "You did what you thought was right."
"Right," Lena sneers. "What even is rightness? Do you know what it feels like to hold the pistol in your hands, Sam? To feel its heft? To smell the gunpowder, hear the bang, the gush of blood? What of that metallic smell? The acidic smoke of a body burning?"
Sam continues to hold her hands, her thumb rubbing back and forth, but she says nothing. Only tilts her head, listening.
It infuriates Lena, but she doesn't want Sam to let go. She feels unmoored, her entire body vibrating with a vicious energy, where she wants those that hurt her to bleed. But Kara can't bleed. She stronger than goddamn steel. No, she can only rip Kara apart, so that Kara has nothing. Just like Kara's damn secret did to Lena's heart.
"As he coughs up blood," she uses the most descriptive language she can in hopes it'll convince Sam to give up on her, "he dragged himself to his computer, turned on the TVs, and showed me exactly who Kara Danvers is. Lex with his dying breaths, his blood filled lungs, said I've been a goddamn fool. Unable to see what was right in front of my eyes." The tears sting her eyes, and that makes her even more angry.
Still Sam doesn't say anything.
"Say something, Sam!" Lena snaps. "Tell me that I'm a monster! A murderer. A villain! It's apparently what Kara thinks. She lied to me again and again, and this whole time she was Supergirl. Probably keeping me, the Luthor, close to make sure I stay in line. So let's be honest, let's lay it all out, don't we? I'm a villain. My family are villains, that's all I'll ever be."
Sam sighs. "No, Lena. No you were never the villain. You've always been the hero. I wouldn't be here if not for you. Ruby wouldn't be here. None of us would. You've saved so many a thousand times over." Her words rain onto Lena's desiccated heart, and the tears threaten to overflow. "And no you are not like your family. I don't know what Kara's deal is. Why she kept that truth from you, but I do know you. And you can't and won't ever be a villain."
"I killed my own brother, Sam," Lena argues.
"Yes, you told me. That doesn't make you a villain." Sam leans closer, her brown eyes intense. "I know that can change a person. Taking a life like that? It's not easy to bear. It sucks, I know."
"You don't even remember what Reign did," Lena says, irritated.
"I do actually. Not all of it, but..." The haunted look in Sam's eye floods Lena with guilt and a hint of disbelief. "When you were working to find the cure in your lab, before Supergirl barged in on us, I -- I started to recall bits and pieces. Then you somehow got both of us in that other dimension. Reign tried very hard to convince me to let go and embrace her. She pushed the memories on me. The crunch of bones in my hands, the nauseating metallic scent, the lifeless eyes still wide with fear. That -- that doesn't leave me."
"Oh." Lena's anger slowly fades into a confusing mire of bitterness and worry. "You didn't mention it."
"How could I?" Sam blinked away her own tears and gave Lena a pained smile. "I was panicking. I remember how you held me. How you reassured me that you would find a cure. You gave me hope that I wouldn't be just an alien weapon. So no, Lena, no matter what you've done, you can't be a villain. You saved me and the world, and I'm not going to let you forget it."
Lena looks down at their hands. She still hasn't pulled away from Sam's gentle touch. "Even if I'm plotting revenge? To make Kara hurt like she hurt me?"
"Even then."
"Revenge is for villains," Lena protests. Sam gives her a look that spells out how she definitely doesn't agree. Frustrated, Lena pushes forward. "Look, I've even dragged Andrea into my plot--"
"The one who viciously betrayed you?" Sam's eyebrows rose.
"The one and same. Gave her Catco." Lena couldn't hide her bitterness from her voice. "I bought it for Kara anyway. Might as well give it to someone who isn't qualified to lead it. Let it tank. Let Kara feel the pain of it. Then I'll unveil her true identity at her damn award ceremony, so the whole world can see her lies."
"Okay." Sam wraps an arm around Lena's shoulders. "So when is this ceremony?"
Lena blinks at Sam, surprised. "You're not going to talk me out of this?"
"I know you, Lena. And I know your heart. When the moment comes, you'll do the right thing. You always do." Sam smiles and the warmth of her arm melts some of the chill that had coated Lena's heart since her brother's death.
"So you're helping me." Lena isn't quite sure what to make of this development.
"I said I got your back, and I meant it."
That fractures Lena just enough that the tears escape. Sam draws her into a hug, and for the first time in weeks since her brother's death, Lena weeps.
***
The Pulitzer ceremony happens in the Art Museum downtown, their theatrical stage converted into a cocktail party. The dishes mostly variations of either French cuisine or potstickers. Thanks to Sam's assistance, Lena wove herself into the planning committee and convinced them to let her give the speech and the award to Kara herself.
Far too easy. At least for the planning portion. Andrea showed up several times to try to convince Lena to give away the surprise sooner, but Lena's firm handling of Andrea shut that down. She'd sent Andrea to Sam for an exclusive interview.
Sam, who would soon become the next CEO of the entirety of L-corp, while Lena stepped down into a pure research consultation position.
That had been Sam's idea, mostly to fix the hemorrhaging of funds issue, so Lena didn't end up investigated by the FBI. Last thing she needed right now, so instead, she'll use her private wealth and L-Corps science grants to fund her projects.
Today, she stands on the balcony, her fingers tapping through the evidence she'd found on the last of Lex's servers. The rest of his servers she'd hacked and deleted until all that was left was what she had stored in this particular tablet.
The rest of her plan involved a carefully written speech about honesty and truth, so when the news breaks, the juxaposition of her words against the truth of Kara's lies will surely destroy her like Kara's lie had destroyed Lena.
She'd practiced her speech in front of Sam and Ruby, though Ruby still had no idea why Lena was so bitter toward Kara. Sam didn't convince her to alter any parts of it, though she did ask one question that haunted Lena still:
"Is this your truth or a half-lie for Kara's sake?"
Lena had scoffed and said the latter, but Sam tilted her head as if not believing her. All her years of Luthor upbringing could not fool Sam, who somehow pierced through to her real feelings with just one look.
Now she overlooks the guests who mill about the extravagantly decorated room. The scent of savory food wafts up from below, the wine already heavy in her stomach. Kara keeps looking up at her from where she speaks with Alex and Kelly, and Lena does her best to ignore each glance.
Every time Kara looks away, Lena looks down at her and wonders. Was anything Kara shared real? Was it all an act? Those questions haunt her as much as Sam's, and she turns and walks into the backstage area.
To her dismay, Kara finds her there. Of all places for Kara to show up. Lena schools her features into delight for Kara as she speaks of how she plans to give the award speech.
Except Kara does the exact thing Lena assumed she'd never do.
She takes off her glasses. "I'm Supergirl!" Words tumble from Kara's mouth in an avalanche. "And I'm so, so sorry. I should have told you ages ago, but I loved being just Kara with you. And I was afraid to lose you, and I can't lose you. So I thought I could be just Kara with you, and I convinced myself I wouldn't lose you then.... but I've been a fool. So selfish. I've been lying to myself too. I thought I was protecting you, but I've been hurting you, haven't I? And I can't bear that. Gosh, Lena, I'm so sorry." Her tears smudging her makeup, and the repeated apology sear into Lena.
For once in her life, Lena has no idea what to say or think. Is this also an act?
"Please, Lena, say something," Kara begs.
And yet, Lena can't.
Kara apologized. Kara finally told her the truth.
What can she do with this? Surely it's not real. Just another ploy. Kara must know Lena knows. She must have slipped up somewhere, given away a clue.
And yet, the earnest grief in Kara's expression, the way she says "I just wanted to be Kara with you. Just Kara. I'm so sorry. I was wrong to lie to you all this time."
The way she begs Lena to speak, it all collides with Lena, and she feels breathless, on the verge of tears.
What does Kara even mean? To admit the wrongdoing? To admit she was being selfish?
Lex would never do such a thing. Lillian would scoff at the idea that she could be wrong.
So what does it mean for Kara to admit she was wrong? To admit she lied? To admit she had hung with Lena to play the role of human? The apology, the tears, the desperate longing in Kara's voice is unlike any apology Lena has ever heard.
She can't process it.
The host catches Lena's eye and taps his wrist. "It's almost time."
Lena takes the opportunity and steps around Kara. Her feet move for her, and she follows the host to the back of the stage, hidden by the red curtains. She hurriedly wipes the tears from her eyes, and touches up her make-up.
The truth in the tablet weighs heavy in her hands. She steps onto stage at her cue and places the tablet on the podium. The send button glares up at her, and her fingers hover over it.
The crowd lines up in rows in front of the stage. Kara stands next to Alex and Nia. Kelly, Brainy, and J'onn stand off to one side, and in the corner of the crowd, leaning against a pillar, Sam stands.
Kara's eyes are still red from her tears, her make-up fixed.
The speech rolls off Lena's tongue like sour candy. She's practiced it enough that the emotive moments come out as planned.
It's Sam's expression that cuts Lena far more than the rising hope in Kara's. Sam's expression burns with an intensity, as if she sees into Lena's soul, knows exactly her indecision.
Lena's finger hovers. One tap and the whole world will know the truth.
And yet her finger refuses to touch the screen.
Kelly glances between her and Kara, her brow furrowed. Does she know?
Alex knows definitely.
Does Brainy? He stands rigid slightly behind Nia, where the young reporter smiles up at Lena. Did they know?
J'onn has his arms crossed, and surely he knew.
Was any of her 'friends' real?
Beyond them, the crowd shifts and edges closer. Dozens of faces upturned to hear her speech, to hear her speak of the virtues of Kara, to listen to her extol on honesty and truth, and to lay that at Kara's feet.
As if Kara was truthful and honest. As if she truly deserved this award.
And yet, her heart betrays her. She drops her hand next to the tablet. Pauses to take a breath. This is it. She needs to do it now, but her hand doesn't hit send. Instead, she exits the program, picks up the award from its case, and steps out from behind the podium.
"And so I present to Kara, the Pulitzer Prize, for her truthful reporting of my brother's deadly actions, and for unveiling the reality of bigotry against alien communities." She stresses 'alien' and looks at Kara.
Kara, the one person who somehow broke through all her defenses, her stole away her heart faster than anyone prior. Even with Jack, the love had been a slow build, but with Kara? Lena had fallen for her in that first meeting in her office.
How could she not? Kara's warmth, how she'd admitted to understanding Lena's situation, an understanding Lena thought she'd never have beyond Jack and Sam.
Memories of their times together deluges Lena, and tears escape. She wants it all to be real so badly.
Kara steps forward, hope in her expression, and that tears Lena's heart even more.
With shaking hands she gives the award to Kara. In front of everyone, in front of the cameras, in front of the world watching this very moment, Kara grasps her arms instead.
"Lena," she says, her voice trembling, "Lena, thank you. I -- I couldn't do this without you. I can't do this without you."
The words leap from her lips, unplanned, unscripted. Her heart betraying her yet again. "You will always have me as a friend."
Kara sweeps her into a hug, presses a kiss to Lena's forehead, and she can't help but sink into the warmth.
She wants this to be real.
Oh god, she needs this to be real.
But the pain of the lie overshadows her, and she struggles against tears. Struggles to hold back her grief, her agony.
Her shattered heart cuts her to pieces, her body a betrayal, and yet she doesn't want to let go. Doesn't care who sees her. She wants this to be real.
She needs this to be real. She needs Kara.
And yet, Kara destroyed her. Destroyed her more than the gunshot to Lex's chest.
She pulls back, her body trembling, and she presses a kiss to Kara's cheek. Kara's sharp intake of breath slices deep, coils in Lena's belly. How can she resist Kara?
Why can't this be real?
The universe takes pity on her. An alien bursts into the room through a bubbling silver-blue portal. Energy arcs toward them, and Kara shifts them so it hits her back. They tumble in a heap to the ground, the wind knocked out of Lena's lungs. Her tablet goes skidding into the curtains. She gasps as pain briefly shoots up her back.
Kara sweeps Lena to her feet, and pushes her into the curtains. They stumble out of sight.
Kara rips off her glasses. Nanites ripples over clothes, and the supersuit -- pants edition -- blooms over her body. "I got this. Please, get to safety, Lena."
Alex and J'onn calmly give orders, while Kara -- as Supergirl -- bursts out from the curtains to tackle the other alien.
Lena snags her tablet and stumbles through the backstage, dazed. Her head spins from where she'd hit the floorboards. Her path takes her away from the clamor of fighting, and she tumbles into a side gallery. There a growing crowd, guided by Alex and several security guards, stream toward an exit sign.
Kelly reaches her side before Sam. "Are you all right?" Kelly looks her over with the practiced eye of a medic.
Lena nods, but when Sam wraps an arm around her as if sensing her unsteadiness. She lets herself lean against Sam. Lets her and Kelly guide her to safety. Behind her, the crashes shake the floor under them. The walls crack.
Alex orders the guards to continue evacuating, pauses only to kiss Kelly's cheek, and rushes into the other room.
This isn't real.
Whatever she has with Kara, it can't be real.
Kelly turns to her, and her question cuts through Lena's shock. "Where's Kara?"
Lena stares at Kelly.
"Wasn't she with you?" Kelly scans the crowd, worried.
Kelly doesn't know. The truth takes the breath from Lena's lungs. Kelly doesn't know.
Lena isn't the last after all.
Sam puts a hand on Kelly's shoulder. "I'm sure Alex reached her."
Kelly shook her head. "How? She was guiding the others out."
Lena watches herself say, "Kara is safe. She ducked backstage." A lie that protects Kara and only leaves Kelly further in the dark.
"I'll send security her way then. She needs to get out safely." Kelly turns and snags a guard.
Lena watches Kelly say, "Can you look for Kara Danvers? Last seen backstage." Watches and says nothing.
Sam's hand grips her shoulder. "You kept her secret," she whispered.
Sam doesn't know what Lena did with the tablet. Lena looks down at the tablet still in her hand. She could still do it. Andrea waits for her transfer at Catco.
Instead, she slams the tablet against the wall. It cracks the screen. Again and again she shatters it. The pieces tumble to the ground, only stopping when Sam grasps her hand and pulls the wrecked tablet from her grip.
Numerous people have turned to stare at her, but a guard breaks the sudden stillness with a sharp command, "Move now!"
Another boom shakes the side room, and the panicked whispering, the urgent rush begins again.
Sam takes her arm and leads her to the exit.
Kelly follows, and they tumble out of the museum into daylight. The chorus of the city saturates Lena's senses, and the words from Sam and Kelly are drowned in the rumble of engines, calls of birds, panicked cries from the crowd, the yelling of fervent guards.
Lena sees only the look of hope in Kara's eyes. She closes her eyes, sways, and the moment overtakes her. She faints.
***
Sam and Kelly sit on the lip of the ambulance, while Lena endures the examination of a paramedic. She says nothing, doesn't explain her faint, only deals with the tests.
The IV fluids chill her veins, but she doesn't refuse like normal.
Why did she lie to Kelly? Why did she keep Kara's secret?
Andrea will be livid. She has nothing to give Andrea now. The only evidence lay on the destroyed tablet.
Why? She has no answer to her own question.
Someone speaks to her, but the words dance around her. It takes several long minutes before the words collapse into meaning in her brain.
"-- possible shock." The paramedic speaks.
"I know." Sam sounds tired and worried. "But she's very much against hospitals. I can take her to her private doctor for those tests."
"I'm a certified medic," Kelly adds. "I can handle it if she won't go in." She gently puts a hand on Lena's shoulder. "Unless you are all right with --"
"No." The word comes with great difficulty. "I do not need the hospital." She feels as if she watches someone else speak with her lips.
Sam takes control and tucks her into her car.
Kelly rides with them, and they head to Lena's private doctor. Despite her worry for Alex, Kelly stays with Lena. Speaks to her gently. Offers kind words of support. Briefly texts Alex, but Lena sees the text and it contains nothing about Lena's situation.
"Thank you." Lena shivers and wraps the blanket tighter around herself. It's white, the fabric scratchy, but its from the ambulance so she doesn't expect any better. "I --" Lena can't finish the sentence.
She feels caught in a loop.
Why couldn't she do it?
The plan had been flawless. Perfect.
And yet, here she was, keeping Kara's secret. She was now an accomplice, and this time it was Kelly she kept in the dark. Unless Kelly too was an actress. No, she can't let that continue, can she? Can she truly do this to another?
Wouldn't keeping the lie only hurt Kelly like it hurts Lena now? No, she can't do that to Kelly.
She waits until the blood tests are taken, until after her doctor looks her over and orders to take a few days of rest, until Kelly and Sam lead her into her penthouse.
As soon as the door shuts, she turns to Kelly and asks the fateful question. "Did you know Kara is Supergirl?"
Kelly blinks and stares at Lena. "What?"
"Did you know too? Did everyone now but me?" She wants to be angry. To draw forth the pain into a blade of fury, but her words come out broken.
She wanted Kara to bleed and yet she'd failed.
Kelly shakes her head. "Are we talking about Kara Danvers? Her?"
Sam sighs. "I'm making us tea. Rest means laying down, Lena." She points to the sofa.
Lena frowns but dutifully sits down.
Kelly stands in the entryway still. "Alex never said," she says, finally.
"Kara only told me today," Lena admits. For that is the truth. "Right before my speech."
"I see." Kelly meets Lena's gaze. "I had no idea. I'm sorry, Lena. Are you all right? To learn something that jarring about your girlfriend? I -- I know how painful that can be."
Girlfriend? Lena stares at Kelly. Girlfriend?
Kelly thinks Kara and her are dating?
Lena's thoughts screech to a halt. "No," she says and lays down. She rests her arm over her eyes, and shuts out everyone. Whatever Kelly or Sam say, she ignores. She refuses food, refuses everything, and curls up under the shitty blanket.
***
Two days huddled on the sofa, and Lena feels like a truck has driven over her back again and again. Her sofa is perhaps the worst thing in the universe for sleeping, but Lena hadn't felt like getting up.
Sam stayed. Ruby joins them, and between the two of them, they coax Lena into eating and drinking some juice.
Sadly, no scotch. Sam hid it.
At one point, Kara shows up, but Sam turns her away. Alex comes by next, and Sam turns her away too.
"Aunt Lena," Ruby sits next to her as they watch a documentary on the wall television. "Are you feeling sick still?"
Lena looks at the thirteen year old. Is that what Sam told Ruby? In a sense, she feels like death warmed over, even if it's not a physical illness. The anger that had fueled her plan had collapsed into a malaise so deep that Lena wishes she could just cease existing.
"Yes." It's the most she's spoken in two days.
"We can make your favorite soup again. I've gotten better at it. Mom's been teaching me." Ruby attempts a smile. "And I made you something. Maybe it'll help you feel better?" Ruby digs into her backpack, that sits at her feet, and pulls out a framed drawing.
Lena takes it and tears overwhelm her.
It's a drawing of Sam, Ruby, and herself in the L-Corp office. The colors are vibrant, the expressions emotive, and it's beautiful. The last time someone had given her art was Kara.
"What do you think?" Ruby's words hold uncertainty.
Lena grasps Ruby's hand. "It's beautiful," she says, softly. "Thank you." The pre-teen grins, and the pain, for a little while, recedes. She lets Ruby pull her up, plays along with finding a home for the drawing, and together they hand it above the mock fireplace. The same place where her photo her herself and Kara had sat.
She doesn't deserve this kindness.
That evening, Sam convinces her to finally go to bed. "Your back will thank you."
Lena gifts her a faint smile. "Fine."
"And I'll handle L-Corp. Don't worry about a thing, okay?" Sam shakes a finger at her. "You need to rest. Doctor's orders you know."
Normally she'd scoff and dismiss it. Normally, she'd buckle up and go in anyway. Normally, she'd push aside her emotions and work herself to the bone.
But the malaise has sunk its fingers deep. Lena only nods, and slips under the covers to hide once more. For the rest of that day, she reviews events. Reviews emotions. Reviews what she can recall.
What is real?
Can she ever trust Kara again?
She loves her still, and it hurts so much. Hurts more than even her brother's death.
She's stained, her heart fractured, and she doesn't know what to do next.
If only she could cut the pain out of herself, to stop the dishonesty so no one else will suffer.
For the first time in days, she leaves her room and takes out her laptop. She types up a tentative plan, works out a simulation, and sends it to Hope, her AI.
Sam finds her deep in coding at the dining table. It's late, the sun long set, and shadows etch across her walls. The television hums with a game as Ruby plays in the other room.
The soup Sam sets down smells delicious, but Lena only glances at it.
"What are you working on?" Sam pulls up a chair.
"What if I could code a way to end suffering?" Lena asks. Her fingers dance across the keys as she looks over Hope's simulation data. It didn't go as she hoped, so she's altering the algorithms. "To make it so no one lies, no one hurts another."
"A code to end suffering," Sam repeats. "Lena, are you suggesting mind control?"
"As if." Lena frowns and glances at Sam. "People can still do what they want. This would just prevent them from hurting anyone."
"That's still mind control."
Frustrated, Lena slaps her laptop shut. "Then what do suggest I should do to end suffering?"
"I think you're asking the wrong question," Sam says gently.
"Oh?" Lena crosses her arms and glares at Sam. "And what should I be asking?"
"I don't know." Sam stirs the soup and pushes it toward Lena. "You should eat. Ruby says you haven't touched any food today."
"I'm fine, Sam."
"Are you? It's okay to not be okay, Lena. You don't have to be strong for this. That's why we're here. You can lean on us. You can be honest with us. We're not going anywhere."
Sam's earnest words sear into her, and Lena looks away, unable to bear the sincerity, the kindness.
"I'm a murderer, Sam," Lena murmurs. "And I'm running simulations that you claim is mind control. I think we should be honest. I'm a villain after all."
"No, you're hurting, and you being, well, you, you're trying to science your way out of the pain. But that's not how it works." Sam gently pushes a lock of hair from Lena's face. "How about this. Let's brainstorm new projects. The more ridiculous the higher the score. I bet I can beat you." She smiles. "I'll even wager money on this."
Lena stares at Sam. "Wagering money that you can beat me on generating ideas? Sam, you'll lose. I'm the queen of ideas."
"Oh? Then prove it." Sam stands and snags several pads of paper. She shoves one at Lena with a violet pen. "Get generating, Lena. Because you're about to be out..." Sam pauses then grins, "... out a hundred dollars."
"Two hundred that I'll leave you in the dust," Lena snaps, unable to resist the competition. She's the one with the two degrees, while Sam only had an accounting degree. How dare Sam claim she can generate better ideas than Lena herself.
"Two hundred and fifty I'll beat you in volume."
Lena growls and furiously starts to write. For the next four hours, she and Sam pit their wits against each other. Papers get taped to the wall, doors, and windows. Ruby cheers them on and makes popcorn as Sam and her shout more and more unhinged ideas.
When Lena suggests nanite-made clothes that instantly clean when dirtied, Sam shoots back an idea of nanite cloth competitions for the most dazzling display of fashion prowess.
Lena tacks to the wall an idea to build a massive portal to send ships to Mars or the moon for colonies and lessen the stress of overpopulation on the ecological systems of Earth.
Sam ups her with portals to other solar systems and documentaries to showcase the work of the mechanics and scientists.
Lena throws the suggestion of science competitions amongst other planets, and the winner gets a grant to build whatever they desire.
Sam suggests competitions to build the biggest train in the solar system, one so big that it fits the moon inside.
Lena counters with an engine that could power such a massive train.
Sam slaps onto the wall her idea of a massive party on such a train, to bring the wonders of pop and rock music to the corners of the galaxy.
By this point, Lena is laughing and tempted to tape her Sam's mouth shut. They've reached an impasse, for each idea Lena generates, Sam twists it to something silly, and even Ruby struggles to decide who wins the round.
"Fine!" Lena throws the last of her pad into the air. "We're tied."
"Are we?" Sam turns to her daughter. "Ruby, as our judge, what is your assessment?"
Ruby spends several minutes tapping her lip as if deep in thought. "I declare...." She pauses for dramatic effect, "A tie. Both your list of ideas are fantastic, and I kind of hope you do some of them Aunt Lena."
Lena looks at the mess that is now her penthouse, how so many unhinged schematics adorn the walls, the lines of ideas that overlap each other, and it's so against her Luthor upbringing that she laughs. Laughs and laughs at the absurdity of her situation.
She decides to keep the ideas where they are.
To remind herself that even in moments of great pain, nuggets of joy can still be found.
Though she will not be building a massive space train big enough for moons, just for all the celebrity popstars to host concerts for other solar systems. No matter how much Ruby and Sam beg.
She has some pride, thank you very much.

Musician Age Gap AU Pt 18
The next afternoon Kara waits anxiously alongside Esme at the front window, searching for the standard SUV that Lena typically uses. To her surprise, the vehicle that eventually turns into the driveway isn't an Escalade, but rather a small sedan with only one occupant.
Kara watches the driver's silhouette lift her hood up and adjust her sunglasses, before Lena steps out. Unaware of being watched, Kara spots a flash of apprehension wash over the woman's features, but she reaches into the back for her overnight bag nonetheless.
Motioning for Esme to stay put, Kara crosses to the front door and swings it open. Lena's features brighten under her sunglasses, sending a shiver of desire down her spine. She can't remember if any of her prior partners had ever been so outwardly glad to see her. Kara decides she likes being the thing to make someone's day better.
"Hey," Lena greets softly as soon as she's in range.
"Hey," Kara returns. She stands aside so Lena can step inside. They don't embrace, let alone kiss, so once the door is closed they stand in a sort of awkward, delighted, tentative silence.
"Hi," Esme chirps, nervous herself for an entirely different reason. When Kara had emerged from the guest room following her call with Lena the day before, Esme had been ready to disavow her idol completely-- but her relief in finding out Lena remains in Kara's good standing had been palpable.
Halfway through removing her sunglasses, Lena freezes for half a heartbeat. Then her eyes zip to Esme, and Lena's face splits into a huge smile. Kara wonders if Esme can tell that this smile is different from the ones she'd gotten after the concert. Oh, Lena had been just as genuine then, but this time... this time Lena's smile is deeper, warmer.
"Hi Esme," Lena returns brightly. "How are you?"
"Great! I mean--" Esme rocks back on her heels, doing her best to temper her eagerness. "Fine."
Lena's gaze flicks bemusedly to Kara, who meets it with a knowing smile. Green eyes return to Esme, her smiling taking on a shy look. "Can I have a hug?"
Esme's face explodes into glee. "Yes!"
She bounds to Lena and throws her arms around her as Lena laughs and hugs just as tight.
"Thank you for letting me stay the night," Lena tells her.
"Are you kidding?? This is so cool! My friends would die if they knew--!" Esme halts her chatter, stricken. "They don't! I swear, I haven't told *anyone*."
Kara, Alex, and Kelly had stressed the importance of discretion for the next few days, and Esme had quickly gotten on board. As teenaged as she is, with all the frivolity that entails, Esme is sensitive enough to know that being loose with Lena's plans would hurt Kara, and ultimately hurt her whole family.
"I know," Lena assures her. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," Esme squeaks.
"Hey," Lena says, "do you like that new witch show? The one with--"
"The one with Samantha Arias?" Esme gasps. "Yes!! Omg I love it!!"
"It airs tonight, right? I rarely get to watch it live, so if you don't mind the company...?"
"You watch it too?!? Yes, yes, yes! Oh my god... we can make popcorn, and drink  cider, and you can use my skull mug--"
Eyes flying wide, Esme detaches from Lena with a jerk. "I think we ran out last week! Hold on, I gotta go check--" She dashes towards the kitchen, where Alex and Kelly were graciously giving them space.
"Mom!! Do we have cider?! Lena wants to use my skull!"
Lena watches Esme go, and when she turns back to Kara her lips are pressed tight against the laughter about to bubble out.
"She's been really excited to see you again," Kara says quietly. She sidles over, hands in her pockets. "I think the photos hit her harder than they did me."
Lena's cheeks flush. "Kara, I'm so sorry. You didn't deserve... any of that. If I'd known they'd be released I would have told you from the start."
Kara nods. "I know. And thank you." She pauses. "How are you doing? I'm not the one who was actually in the photos this time."
A huff of frustration answers her. But Lena simply shrugs. "It comes with the territory. Still sucks though."
"I'm sorry."
"The worst part is that I can't even really do anything about it," Lena continues softly. "No bridge is ever truly burned in this industry, so... I don't know."
Kara takes her by the hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. "Well, you don't have to think about it today, or tomorrow."
Lena smiles, chasing the shadows from her features. "Very true."
"You ready to meet the rest of my family?"
"You bet." Lena's confidence lasts for a millisecond, before it wanes to a grimace. "But in all honesty... how much does your sister hate me?"
Kara snorts. "She doesn't *hate* you..."
"But she doesn't like me."
"She hasn't even met you," Kara reminds her, but relents a moment later. "But let's just say she's more Team Kara than Team Luvers"
Lena blinks. "Team Luvers?"
"Our portmanteau, according to Esme. Popped up after the photos did... Though I'm not sure who the other team is supposed to be."
"Oh my god--" Lena says, covering her mouth even as she smiles. "I had no idea--"
Kara believes her. With the tour schedule the way it is, and how quickly Lena had flown out after last nights show, she likely wouldn't have had time to check the comments, if she'd even had a mind to read them.
"Well, if Esme says it's true, it's gotta be. She's got her finger on the pulse of your fanbase, let me tell you."
She moves to pull Lena towards the kitchen, but pauses when Lena resists.
"I'm glad," Lena says softly. "That your sister is Team Kara. That you have your family as a support system."
Kara flushes, warmed by the sentiment. "Not so different from you, huh. What with your mom--"
Lena steps forward, pressing one finger to Kara's lips. Kara is too enthralled by Lena's closeness to mind the unexpected shush.
"Your family and my mother are not the same." Lena's finger lifts, only to be replaced by a soft kiss. "And be glad for that."
Then Lena steps away, and Kara teeters for a moment before regaining her balance and her senses.
"Right," she coughs. "Got it. So-- time to meet the in laws?"
Lena chuckles. "Let the gauntlet begin."

Can't believe Lio Fotia appeared in My Adventures with Superman
Actually I really like how they portrayed Supergirl
But I do hope they'll drop the love plot with Jimmy
1)Kara deserves better
2) If he treats her like he did Clark, he won't survive

dbf!simon x fem reader; dbf!simon x ofc
!! suggestive - minors dni; simon's a dick; is it cheating if you two are on-and-off
: draft :'D - i didnt want to post it as part of the dbf!simon series because it felt too juvenile and not in-line with the series (as i tend to avoid writing simon's pov to further shroud doubt to how he feels for the reader) but i miss writing so i tweaked this a bit
it is laughable, really, how you never seemed to have good people in your corner. how, at every turn, you keep getting betrayed. left broken and weeping, your heart full of festering wounds.
simon's guilty of it, of course.
he is no saint. he knows the shit he does hurts you but he has always known the bed he's made in hell and was more than ready to lay in it. to submerge himself in the fire because there is just something so addicting in the way he seeks for you, all mangled soul and yearning—ugly in the way he bears the burden of his affections to you—only to be accepted with nothing but a wet sniffle and a, "you hurt me." and simon hears it for what it is—his absolvement.
in return, simon whispers his apologies, all half-meant because he can't change. not when he loves the way you love him.
but this.
oh but this is just too cruel, it makes him twitch with a crude sense of delight.
"she doesn't deserve you," she mumbles, eyes glassy with tears. she introduced herself, said her name's kara. said she's your friend.
("see?" he would tell you much later, his palms warm as they clung to your waist. "she didn't mean a thing to me, baby."
"o-okay," you would reply, choking on your tears. "m'sorry for doubtin'."
simon would bite a grin and pepper kisses all over the column of your neck and up to the cut of your jaw, feather-light as they danced just past your lips.
"s'okay," he would whisper. "i knew you didn't mean to."
you would bury your face on the juncture of his neck with a wet sniffle, and simon would suppress a tremble because this.
this was exactly how he likes you.)
"oh yeah?" simon asks, snorting to himself. "and what? you reckon you're a better option?"
she flushes, cheeks filling with heat and eyes darkening as she frowns. simon expected her to storm off, taking his dismissal for what it is and running away to pretend to be your comfort place again.
instead, she seems to make herself more resolute, fists tightening on her skirt before meeting his eyes head-on.
"yes," kara says, all faux confidence. "i am."
simon hums, swirling his glass of gin as he looks away. "why's that?"
"because i know how to love you."
simon pauses, eyes shifting back to her.
kara says love in a way he knows isn't all that softness you have always associated with it—ghosting kisses and whispered confessions—or similar to the weight erin has always cloaked the word in—something that was beyond dinner parties and bike rides. kara says love and simon sees what she wants.
she wants the passion. the danger. she wants to submerge herself in the taboo love that she must have heard from you—the rough sex, the fast burn, the way he engulfs you whole until you are left twitching on the bed, gaze faraway and oversensitive as you come down from your high, before dealing with a heartache as he leaves.
it was a dance with you. it was something he tried to curb with erin only to realize, half-way, he wanted the thrill that you gave him.
with kara, simon knows it's all a front.
he flits his eyes down at her, licking the back of his teeth as he takes her in because kara is beautiful, alright. not really his type but he sees the appeal.
(she isn't anything like you and, somehow, that makes it easier for simon to indulge.)
he takes her to a hotel. he fucks her against the wall on the entryway of the room, and leaves after he came across her back.
simon fishes for his phone and rings you.
"si?" your voice is a sleepy croak on the other side. it makes his heart clench with desire.
"i wanna see you, sweetheart."
a static. sheets rustling. then, "okay." a yawn. "i can't wait."
what a sweet thing you are. this is why he can't really give you up.

Kyou Kara Maou but Yuuri is the one who introduces people to a tradition for once. It goes a little like this -
There's a rumor in court that the King doesn't really love his fiance, and sees him as a friend or brother in arms. They got engaged for political reasons, you see. Or by mistake. There's no intent there. A few dream of proposing to the king, and have him maybe accept, but most know that's a moot point- he's always with Lord Weller, his bodyguard. No one can get past that man, less of all close enough to the king to actually strike him. So, the smart ones decide a better way to get into the king's good graces and into his inner circle would be by proposing to his fiance. Free him of an unwanted arrangement, become something like a sibling in law by marrying his long time companion, AND get a drop -dead gorgeous husband?? Its too good of a deal to pass up.
And so it starts, one night during a ball at the castle. Yuuri is dancing with Greta, while Wolfram smiles tenderly from the side, and the way the gesture lights up his entire face and turns his stern demeanour angelic gives the last push of bravery a tipsy noble needed. The slap is heard throughout the hall, and everything, music included, quietens at the sound. Wolfram is frozen in place, cheek stinging. Conrad and Gwendal approach, storms in their eyes. Yuuri, confused and a little annoyed as he starts to understand what's going on, follows suit.
He has to duel the noble, of course. As the one of higher standing between him and his friend, it's either he fights the dude for Wolfram or 'gives him up'.
'You can get rid of the engagement like this', Murata points out.
'Wolf isn't an object to be passed around,' Yuuri replies, getting ready for the fight. 'And he doesn't want to marry the guy- I won't free myself by trapping him somewhere else'
He doesn't go too hard on the noble. Poor guy was kinda drunk, he probably didn't mean anything by it, and he doesn't deserve to have his shit rocked because he made an impulsive decision while deep in his glass. Yuuri can also empathize, as he, too, has felt the need to hit Wolfram in the past (and he understands his beauty is the type that makes people do dangerous things).
They think the matter is settled. That it's a one off, weird but whatever.
Then, it happens again, when Wolfram is taking a stroll through the gardens with Greta. The noble lady responsible had thought the last attempt made had failed because the man decided to slap Lord Von Bielefeld in front of the Maou. Of course, even without an emotional connection, the gesture was too disrespectful to go unpunished. She grins as her hand makes contact, uncaring about the young princess bursting into tears and running off. Wolfram, this time, gathers himself fast enough to feel pissed. If not for the guards holding him off, weary of how tradition dictates the only retribution given might come from Yuuri, he'd have cooked the woman alive.
By the time Yuuri gets there, hand in hand with a still weepy Greta, he's mad enough by the fact someone dared make his daughter cry that he duels the woman right there in the gardens. After it's done, Wolfram huffs, still indignant, and marches his king and princess back inside, leaving the guards to deal with the waterlogged lady.
Okay, the nobles think. So maybe the Maou has to save face, and feels forced to accept any challenge thrown in his own home. No big deal! Lord Von Bielefeld is escorting the King on a diplomatic meeting when a dignatary from the neighboring country, the one they are visiting, goes up to him and strikes.
Conrad is the one holding Wolfram back this time, while Yuuri, angry after a full day of negotiations going nowhere, takes the chance to work off some nervous energy and dons his sword for the duel. Murata, again, points out Yuuri could use this as a chance to end the engagement. Yuuri, who's heard Wolfram ask late at night, on a very quiet voice, 'they think me so easy to steal? Am I worth so little to them?', shuts him up with a glare. It was never funny to begin with, but now it's really, really not funny.
The general consensus is, then, that it shouldn't be done while the Maou is nearby at all, or in his castle. Pursuers gain confidence then, attacking again and again when the young lord is on patrols, back on his uncle's lands, or simply out and about. Wolfram's guards become twitchy, trying their best to stop this from happening but not having much success, dreading the moment they are sent to call for the Maou so he might fight for his fiance.
Yuuri fights no less than 15 duels, having to cut meetings short, postpone his trips to earth and cancel baseball practice to do so. He's getting angrier and angrier, frustrated and... Something else he has no name of, at how many people are apparently wanting to take his place on Wolfram's life.
He still entertains the entire thing because that's tradition, apparently, and it has to stop eventually, right?
Until one night, when they are alone in their room, Wolfram turns away from him in the bed and whispers how maybe they should end the engagement. If people think him so easily stolen, his image must be pretty bad, not at all like how a future king consort should be; and he's seen how tired Yuuri is of having to defend him. His pride and feelings are hurt, and for the first time in his life, Wolfram is contemplating giving up instead of fighting, his usual fire dimming with every careless duel.
That's when Yuuri gets up from bed, terrified and furious at the notion, and storms into the treasure room to look for the thing he needs. And during the next big feast at the castle, like the one that started this madness, he calls for attention and explains to everyone how proposals are done in Earth. How one gets down on one knee, begging their partner to accept a ring in exchange for the rest of their life together. How no one can take that ring off, except the one that put it there or the one who wears it, and even then it's by their choice alone. How it's a promise and a vow and something unbreakable, forever.
And as he says this, he kneels in front of Wolfram and presents a precious ring of emeralds and onix, and once again binds Wolfram to him.
No one else proposes to either of them, after that night, even though Wolfram's smile had shone so bright it put all the jewels in the room to shame.
Gunter doesn't stop crying for a week, while Gwendal is busy planning the wedding.

we are so pleased with this Match!!!!
“That’s alright, we’ll give him a heads up later,” Kara says as she inspects the doors, debating how best to open them within the bounds of proper etiquette. Not that the Agenda deserves proper etiquette from them, but Match does. “I didn’t think to either, but in my defense, I didn’t expect your Match to be having his mood.”
Kon turns red. Kara resists the urge to snicker, because that would also not be proper etiquette right now, but betas have been teasing alphas and omegas about their cycles while helping them through them since the evolution of Kryptonians as a species, so she thinks it’s fair to tease him a little. And hopefully a joke or two will help settle his nerves, since he’s clearly restless and anxious right now.
It's even more of a first for Kon than it is for her, after all. He never had the chance to do any play-behaviors to practice for a real mating run while growing up, unless all those human girls he used to chase after and try to flirt up count. That was probably the closest his unpresented alpha instincts knew how to get to that, though, especially without anyone around to teach him better. Kal didn't really understand how much it mattered back then, or even realize Kon was an alpha at all.
How could he have, when he didn't even remember the difference?

Love your work! Would you write Rebecca X Female!Reader , where she's working as an assistant coach or something clever but R is very shy and introverted ( Ted is like a father figure ). But when on the pitch next to Ted, R is a complete opposite . Rebecca is intrigued ? She's also protective of R, enjoys having her and Keeley in the office , maybe flirty . Reader is like Kara Danvers from Supergirl ☺️
Thank you SO much!!!💕💕
And I love this so much! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!💕
A/n: I don't know anything about Kara Danvers or Supergirl so I'm sorry if I don't hit the mark on that😅😂

When Rebecca first hired you as an assistant coach, she didn't think too much of you. Your references were good, you knew the game better than most people she's met, you were quiet, nice, very girl next door type. Even though she wasn't sure how well you'd fit in with the rest of the managers given they were all pretty outgoing men, she took a chance and it paid off.
Whenever there was a meeting Rebecca noticed that you only ever spoke when spoken to. You were quiet but thorough with your analyses, strategies and had great opinions.
For whatever reason, Keeley immediately took a liking to you and started dragging you into Rebecca's office for "girl talk." For the most part, you just listened, only giving your opinion on things when you were asked. Rebecca was curious how someone so quiet was such a great coach to a particularly rowdy team. But she admired your softness, she loved hearing you laugh and when you spoke, she hung onto every word you said. She's been pretty busy since you were hired and she wasn't able to watch you during trainings so she really had no idea how you operated on the pitch.
Finally, Rebecca found a free afternoon to finally observe training before the first match of the season. She quietly made her way out into the stands and took a seat, her eyes trained on you.
Before training that morning, Coach Lasso asked the group what you all thought the team should focus on today. Piping up, you suggested that the team should work on the finer details of their footwork. Of course it was important to learn new plays, perfect the ones they already knew, but you felt like the boys needed a refresher on the basics.
Coaches Lasso, Beard, Roy and your other assistant manager, Nate, all paused for a moment before agreeing. The boys' footwork had become a bit sloppy, messing up passes, missing goals, all because they weren't kicking the ball with the precision they should be.
Ted and the rest of the guys all agreed and even let you take the reigns for training for the day. It wasn't something you'd done before here at Richmond, but you were really excited to finally show everyone why you deserve to be here.
Rebecca watched as the boys ran a basic play, unsure why you all decided to run such a simple play, but she kept watching to see what happens.
Colin passes the ball over to Sam and even though it looked like a solid pass, Colin wasn't using the proper technique, something Rebecca wasn't paying attention to, but you definitely were.
As soon as Sam got the ball you blew your whistle and everyone stopped.
"COLIN!" You scream across the pitch. "DO I HAVE TO CALL ROY'S NIECE TO COME OVER HERE AND TEACH YOU HOW TO KICK THE BALL?"
The managers all held back a laugh, Roy and Beard smirking with approval, and the rest of the team busted out into laughter. Rebecca on the other hand, was in shock. The sweet, quiet girl she'd gotten to know was replaced by an assertive, confident coach, a side of you she didn't even know existed. She was even more enamored with you now than she ever was before.
"Oh come on coach! It was a fine pass!" He argued.
"'Fine' won't win the whole damn thing! If you want to be 'fine' then drop down to the lower levels of the league!"
The teams laughter fades and a few of the guys whistle and you hear a few mutter "oh shit".
"Run it again!" You say, blowing the whistle again.
"Fuckin' cunt." Colin murmurs under his breath.
The boys reset and start the play over, Colin gets the ball and passes it to Sam again with a perfect execution, giving Sam the opportunity to sink the ball right into the net.
"There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" You yell before blowing your whistle.
Walking out onto the pitch you walk up to Colin and pat him on the back.
"That was perfect! Did you feel how you had way more control when you connected with the ball this time?" You say as you imitate kicking a ball.
"Yes coach, I see what you mean."
"Good! Because when you hit it just right, you don't have to worry about trying to control where the ball is gonna go, you can focus on putting as much or as little power behind the kick to get it to your teammate. Just like you did with Sam, the ball got to him faster and he was able to sink that puppy straight into the net before the other team knew what hit 'em!"
Colin nods at you and you give him another pat on the shoulder before you turn away. Walking back over to the coaches, you see Rebecca sitting in the stands watching. A blush creeps across your cheeks as you give her a little wave and she waves back. You can't read her face, you're not sure if she's impressed, indifferent or unhappy with your coaching style. As training continues you try not to focus on Rebecca and direct your attention to the boys on the field.
Rebecca watches you as training continues. She sees Ted wrap his arm around your shoulder for a moment and says something to you. He spoke too quietly and she's sitting too far away to hear what he said, but she notices you relax a little before he pulls his arm away.
When training was finally over, you all head back inside, Rebecca had left at some point, although you're not sure when. In your office, you're going over a few new plays you've come up with, seeing which player would best fit each position.
"Well howdy there boss!" You hear Ted say as the sound of heels clicking across the floor enters the office. "What'd ya think of today's trainin'?"
"I must admit I was quite impressed." She says.
Looking over your shoulder, you see Rebecca lean up against the door connecting your and Ted's offices.
"Y/n, I almost couldn't believe that was you out there." She says playfully.
The blush creeps up again and you let out a nervous giggle.
"Oh, yeah, thank you."
Rebecca raises and eyebrow at you and flashes you a smile.
"Come up to my office after work, Keeley and I are going to be spending some time up there today."
"Oh? Yeah, of course. Thanks for the invite."
Rebecca smiles at you again and walks out through the locker room.
"Colin, coach l/n really ripped you a new one out there." Isaac says.
"She was such a bitch! I kicked the ball perfect the first time." Colin responds, visibly annoyed.
"I would show your coaches some more respect if I were you, Mr. Hughes." Rebecca says with daggers in her eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Welton, yes, of course, I'm so sorry." He says, obviously taken by surprise because he didn't see her there.
"Even I could tell that first kick was utter garbage." She says before walking away.
Could she really tell? No, absolutely not. But Rebecca knew what you were doing and trusted you. She also was not about to let the players trash talk their coach, especially the only female coach. That was not going to fly in her locker room.
After work you head up to Rebecca's office to find her sitting on the couch with Keeley.
"Y/n! I'm glad you came!" Rebecca says, her face lighting up a little when she sees you.
"Of course, thanks for the invite." You reply with a soft smile.
"Come in, come take a seat," Rebecca moves closer to Keeley, opening up a spot next to her. "would you like a glass of wine?"
"I would love one, thank you."
Rebecca hands you a glass after you sit down and you take a sip, your eyes flickering between the two women.
"I have to say, I'm still shocked that that was you out on the pitch this afternoon." Rebecca says as she takes a sip.
"What happened on the pitch?!" Keeley asks.
"Our sweet, quiet little y/n became this loud, assertive coach. Those boys listened to her as well as they listen to Roy."
"No shit! So you're like an entirely different person when you coach?"
"Um, I guess." You say, the blush returning once again.
"She absolutely does." Rebecca says. "I was impressed, really."
For some reason, that took you by surprise. You didn't think you could ever do anything to impress Rebecca.
"Really?"
"Absolutely, the way you commanded the team was incredible."
"Oh my god I bet it was so hot watching you get all assertive like that!" Keeley says, causing your blush to deepen.
"I don't know about that." You mumble.
Rebecca shrugs a little and smiles at you and you take another sip of wine.
As the night progresses, the three of you talk, laugh and genuinely enjoy each others company. The wine loosened you up a bit and you're talking a little more freely than you usually do. Something that both Rebecca and Keeley seem to be happy about.
"Oh! I wanted to ask you y/n, what did Ted say to you on the pitch this afternoon?" Rebecca asks.
"When?"
"After you yelled at Colin, he put his arm around you and said something to you."
"Oh," you say, blushing once again. "he just said that I was doing a really good job and that he was proud of me."
"Aw I love Ted!" Keeley says. "He's such a sweetheart."
"He's a really good guy, it's nice to have someone so supportive on the pitch."
"I can imagine! It must be tough being the only chick out there."
"It's not too bad, I mean sometimes the guys say shit but I don't let it get to me."
Rebecca stiffens when she hears you say that the team makes comments to her. She doesn't even realize it but her grip on her wine glass tightens.
"What do they say to you?" Rebecca asks.
"Honestly I don't really pay attention, sometimes they're just teasing me, sometimes they like, pretend hit on me, say stupid things. The usual things that immature athletes usually say."
"That is absolutely unacceptable." Rebecca says, her tone growing more serious.
"It's okay really-"
"No it's not, you're their manager, they should respect you just as much as they respect the other managers."
"I guess." You say, shrugging.
"No, no, they absolutely should. And if it continues there will be hell to pay."
"Rebecca, really-"
"No babes she's right," Keeley chimes in. "you absolutely deserve the same amount of respect that the other coaches get and it's some sexist bullshit that you're not getting it."
Coming to terms with the fact that this is absolutely a losing battle, you smile at the two women.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it."
Rebecca wraps her arm around your shoulders and pulls you into her. The moment her skin touches yours your heartbeat quickens. AS she pulls you closer you're engulfed in her perfume. It's a beautiful, no doubt expensive, scent. It automatically relaxes you even though your heart still feels like its beating out of your chest. You look up at Rebecca and she looks down at you and smiles. Immediately her gorgeous green eyes captivate you and you get lost in them for a moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you realize your throat has gone dry so you grab your wine glass and take a sip.
"We got your back babes!" Keeley says.
"We absolutely do." Rebecca says, smiling down at you.
Later that night you lay in bed unable to fall asleep. The moment Rebecca wrapped her arm around you replays over and over again on a loop. You've never felt like that before and you can't figure out why. Was it because she's your boss? Not really. How about because she saw you in your coach mode earlier? Nah. What the hell made you so nervous in such a pretty woman's arms!
Right after that thought passed through your mind it hit you. You liked Rebecca, a lot. Way more than you ever thought or would have admitted to yourself.
Shit. You had a crush on your boss.
The next morning Rebecca calls a meeting with all of the coaches and the team. Everyone gathers in the conference room and you sit in one of the chairs, fidgeting nervously because you think you know why you're all here.
"Good morning everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why I called this meeting this morning."
"Colin I told ya, you gotta use soap when ya shower mate!" Jamie says, making the entire team laugh.
Rebecca glares at Jamie and he shrinks back in his seat.
"Sorry Ms. Welton." He mumbles.
"It was recently brought to my attention that one of the managers here has not been given the same amount of respect as the others. Something that I witnessed myself in the locker room yesterday." She says, staring daggers at Colin, who also shrinks into his seat. "Every manager on this team, assistant or otherwise, deserves your respect and I will not tolerate anyone on this team disrespecting them in any way. If I find out that any one of you are making fun of, ostracizing or disrespecting any of the coaches on this team you will be benched for the first five games." The team takes a collective breath in, they're all a little intimidated by Rebecca and they don't take her threats lightly. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Ms. Welton." They say in unison.
"Wonderful, now unless anyone has any questions or concerns, you all are dismissed."
Ted turns to you and the other coaches, a confused look on his face.
"What the heck was all of that about?"
The coaches shrug their shoulders and you stay silent. The guys on the team have never said anything in front of the other coaches so you're not surprised that they didn't know they weren't treating you all that nicely.
Everyone leaves the conference room and you head to your office. The day goes by pretty quickly and the threats Rebecca made seem to have stuck because the boys are giving you less attitude than they normally do. When the day is finally over you make your way up to Rebecca's office to thank her for putting her foot down.
You knock on the door and hear her on the other side.
"Come in!" When she see's you after you open the door, her face lights up again. "Oh! Y/n! What a wonderful surprise." She says with a smile, closing her laptop. "Please, sit." She gestures to the chair in front of her desk.
You take a seat and drink her in for a quick moment. Her hair is pulled back elegantly so you can see every beautiful feature of her face. Her green button down shirt, that's showing off her perfect breasts just enough to tease you, makes her eyes pop. If you could, you would sit here all night and just look at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks with a smile.
"I just wanted to thank you, for earlier today."
"Oh you don't have to thank me! It's absolutely unacceptable to disrespect the people that rank higher than you. I wish you had told me sooner, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." Her green eyes look sad, not like the pitied you, but sad that you've been treated like shit from your players.
"Yeah, I just tend to take things as they are. I don't like making waves."
"Well if anything like this ever happens again, I hope you do."
"Thank you, I will."
"I was surprised that Ted and the other coaches didn't even know. They can usually pick up on those things quickly."
"Yeah, the guys were pretty discrete when it came to them insulting me or something."
"Did you tell anyone? Like a boyfriend or-"
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh?"
"I'm not really, into guys so much." You say as you feel your cheeks starting to get warm.
"Oh." Rebecca says, almost surprised.
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that." You say with a laugh.
"Uh, no, honestly, I was not." She also says with a laugh.
"I mean, come on, I'm a football coach for a men's team, it's kinda obvious."
"Well when you put it like that!" The two of you laugh for a minute.
Her laugh is amazing, it fills your chest with so much joy. If you could have it played on repeat for hours, you would.
"Anyway, thank you again for doing that, it means a lot."
"Of course, I can't let my staff, no less my favorite employee, be harassed by the team."
"Aw, thanks." You say, smiling at her. "I'll let you go-"
"I was just about to leave, walk with me to the carpark?"
"Of course."
The two of you walk out of the building and into the carpark in a comfortable silence. The sky is dark and there's only a few cars left, including her driver and your car. Rebecca turns towards you and you mirror her action. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently cups your face. Without realizing it, you unconsciously lean into her hand, when you realize what you just did your eyes widen. Rebecca only smirks and her thumb caresses your cheek.
"If I wasn't your boss," She says softly, as if she's talking to herself while she's admiring you.
Her hand leaves your face and you grab hold of it with yours.
"Even if you are, I wouldn't mind." You say, just as softly, with a smile.
Rebecca looks at you with a bit of surprise in her eyes, she was never expecting you to say that. She's had the feeling that you had a crush on her for awhile now, long before you realized you did. And she's secretly been admiring you from afar.
The thought of dating an employee sounds so incredibly unprofessional to Rebecca. But at the same time, you're not just any employee.
"I must say, I'm torn on the matter." She says with a small smile.
"Well, give me a chance to ease your worries." You say with a confidence you haven't had in awhile.
Rebecca picks up on your sudden burst of confidence and a smile crosses her face.
"Alright then, Friday night, 7pm, I'll pick you up?"
"Perfect."
"It's a date."

HOW DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN CHARACTERS COMFORT THEIR S/O DURING A BAD TIME.
Connor
Tumblr media
• definition of baby.boi.
• he doesn't know how to help, he genuinely wants to, but has difficulties.
• 《is everything all right, Y/N?》.
• you, of course, want just someone to listen and to help you. So you spill everything that's on your mind.
• he is processing everything, his led turning blue, yellow, blue, red.
• after elaborating all the informations, he'll do his best, starting with affectionate hugs, rubbing tenderly you hands... also, he'll make a speech about how to help you with your problems, giving suggestions, then proceeds to comfort you with sweet words.
• he'll do little acts of care, like cooking your fav meal, brining a hot chocolate/tea/chamomile to help your stress relief, a warm sheet.
• 《I cannot understand human emotions so easily, but I will do everything to make you feel as you deserve》.
• I love him.(⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃
Gavin Reed
Tumblr media
• oh, this man here.
• Gavin is a tsundere.
• but that doesn't mean he won't underestimate your problem.
• 《tsk, just tell me what's on your mind now and which prick I need to beat to dead.. please》.
• after telling him your problem, he won't mind if you want to hug him. Yeah, he can be a bitch sometimes, but he still has a heart.
• Gavin will probably go to a face-to-face with the one who hurt you (which means they'll get.. a few broken ribs and a bleeding nose).
• if no one hurt you, he'll be silent and give here and there some comforting words, accompanied by his cats that will purr in your lap. He's trying his best, forgive him. T_T
Hank Anderson
Tumblr media
• similar to Gavin, but more soft.
• he probably will make Sumo cuddle you and lick your face until you're having the tiniest smile.
• 《Sumo, attack!》
• because if you smile, he smiles.
• 《kiddo, everything is gonna be alright. Trust me. Things are gonna change for sure》 he says, rubbing your hair lovingly.
• probably puts a movie with a bowl of popcorn to distract you from your thoughts.
• it kinda works, and you appreciate how he's trying to make you feel better.
Kara
Tumblr media
• she knows you're battling with something. The problem is, what?
• but when you're on the verge on tears, she understands.
• 《Hey, hey, what's wrong? Let it all out, it's okay, Y/N, it's okay...》
• purest.angel.ever.
• she's gonna give you the best hug ever. When you're done crying and you are a little more calm, Kara listens to everything that's bothering you.
• 《Hey, let me tell you this..》
• Kara is optimistic, so she'll make sure you see the light that's going to come really soon, while rubbing your back.
• 《I know you're strong, you can do it! I believe in you!》
Markus
Tumblr media
He knows what's going on, since you've been acting strange lately.
"This isn't surely Y/N's behaviour. Perhaps it's better I talk to them"
And when he finally does, you spill everything that's on your mind. You don't want to bother him with all your stuff, but he doesn't care. He's there to make sure you ok, by giving you a hug or rubbing your hand
Idk everyone, I kinda guess he'll do that, I'm not so good writing for Markus.😭😭
